You can do this now when you're part of a common market.

Go to the common market menu, select Contracts>Accept contracts for your corporations needs.

Below the list of corporations, there's a list of choices to accept only local, only common market or both.

If you select only local, your corporations will close all the contracts they can with local corporations. You can then do a second run where you also accept common market contracts.

Note: the above only works if you have also set your corporations to offer goods on the local or common market. It's the same main menu menu, one step lower.

Wow Thank you so much sbroccoli. You are so help and its great to be in your common market!

Now if i set my corps to contract a certain amount, will they lose profits if they get no contracts?

And do corps make contracts automatically for whatever they need?

No and (yes).

The offer is just an offer. If noone signs a contract, it'll be offered on the global market instead.

Automatic contracting happens when you select the accept contracts for my corporations submenu under the common market contracting option. But it only happens when you select it. It doesn't automatically update the needed contracts.
