?____Are CMs bad____?

I have been reading on some tips from around the internet and most of them say that CMs make your corps less profitable, is this true?

If you're unsure of whether CMs are good or bad, they're bad. It comes down to what you're using the CM for.

It's one of those "you'll know when the time is right [to use a CM]" things.

Personally, I don't use the CM at all, some players do.

The best advice is: don't use it unless you have a damn good reason.

I think, King, a lot of the misunderstanding about CMs as you read is due to the fact that until not long ago you could ask a mark up on products sold on the world market, whereas CM deals were always treated as market price increased by quality. Therefore your corps didn't squeeze the extra 15% or whatever. Nowadays, the world market trading doesnt work like that and I can see that using a CM would actually be advantageous, before considering all the supply aspects that people generally use them for.

I too dont use them, but some players seem to be well clued up on them, like Mr. nastytastingvegetable man there, so, each to his own.

I find my CM - which No Tax is part of btw - very beneficial. First off, it increase supply and sales safety. Secondly it cuts down on micromanagement.

And the way CM works now is much less flawed than most other parts of the game.
