Premium

I am considering paying for a premium account. I am interested to know if you wish to keep premium active though after the first paid period, do you have to pay again?

Would this revert your game level to level 3?

Would this prevent you building corporations higher than level 3 if you were reverted?

Considering this is about investing in the game, I am surprised to have received no response in nearly a week.

If there is anyone with experience in this or even a GM, I would be grateful for an answer.

Adam - if you don't have a premium acct you can only have 2 countries. if you let your membership lapse you lose all but 2 countries, your oldest two I guess. Your level does revert to 3 as that is also the highest level obtainable. It is an investment in the game, and allows you some additional functionality. If you like the game and want to see it stay around then being a premium member is a good idea.

Pretty much, it adds functionality as well.

It would be nice if a freemium game like this provided additional bonuses to those who pay in and keep their bonuses.

Example: 10 countries if you pay $15 and then your minimum increases from 2 but its permanent.

Another Example: Level unlocking for 3 months allowing you to increase your countries level to whatever you can but keep it at the maximum it reaches.

I'm a big fan of freemium games where you can pay to add extra to it (world of tanks, war inc.)

Saying that, the freemium model has issues (quote: "Don't want to pay to fix that dent? See you in eight hours.") usually to try to roll in extra cash and almost anyone would rather pay to assist gameplay than pay to avoid waiting to play or access something they have already paid to use at some point.
