New player advice

Hello all im a new player love the complexity and the vastness of this game. just looking for some usefull tips for starting off. i read to watch for worker shortages so i have been watching as i expand my govt dpts and businesses. What Should i be focusing on more? as i realize without the new player bonus i would be going into the red

also seeing the puzzle peice. ( raw materials i believe) how do i deal with this in my corps

Hey all, new player who started a while back and had real life (that terrible thing!) interrupt my ability to play. I've been able to get give some time to the game but not a whole lot. Anyone willing to send me a message on how to really get started playing?

For me john4rockon, I just do what I like to do. For me, I bring down my military and invested in my industries. I just play. By the way, Im 3 weeks old.
