I'm at war with a country and i'm constantly bombing it but the war index doesen't want to get under 4.80 what am I doing wrong? I probably wasted so much bombs as England did in ww2...

on the fighting screen, check the "How to Win this War" tab. It'll show you where the points are distributed. Is it possible you are bombing targets that have already contributed their maximum point value towards the war index damage? Have you painted for occupy country points?

There used to be some countries in the game that you could not reduce to a 0 War Index, even maximizing all possible categories of war damage. I'm unaware if they are still in the game at those values, but the point value remaining seems a bit too high to be one of those. Those were mostly rounding errors left over from drawing the map.

The distance between my enemy is too big for ground units. It says that 17 points are at assets but the rest is zero.
Once it dropped to 3.60 but jumped back to 4.80 quickly, that's weird

Can you assemble landing forces and military transport companies? That way you can airdrop and airlift, etc.

Having landing forces/ground units in effective range of your targets will also lower losses in your air wings by making them more effective.
