Converting your Gold Coins to cash can be a hassle. Especially if you are in need and there are no offers of cash for GC on the direct trading page. Times can get tough and players may need cash for various reasons.

If you need game cash, you can purchase Electricity on the Direct trading page. The process is quite simple. You purchase electricity, move it from your account page to your desired country, then sell the electricity and you will have converted your gold coins into cash at a far higher rate than offered on the portal page.

You can find the links by clicking

Direct Trading/ Trade(Electricity/ Make your purchase/exchange products with countries and enterprises/ Sell your product and receive your game cash.

You're Welcome!

This message is always useful. I have mentioned this a half dozen times myself on these forums. It is a crime to see good gold coins go to waste for so little cash. I believe the GM exchange rate is on purpose to not be as competitive as player trades can be but the players who need the cash most need to get this info.

I think that GC value fluctuations would add some trading fun to this (within certain parameters to avoid a crash in value). Also, purchasing GC with SC would be a welcomed reintroduction, even if it is costly, whatever the market determines. (Christmas is coming, make some players happy this holiday season) haha

Apparently, due to some fierce competition in the trade markets, there is a fire sale going on for electric power.

The exchange rate has nearly dropped by a whopping %50.

If you are need of game cash, don't sleep on this slump in prices. The last one didn't last too long.

Currently offers of 1M units of electric power at 330Q are available at a cycle low market minimum ask price of just 0.22GC per million.

Basically cash is available, and compared to last week's prices you would get almost double!

This is a very bad offer.
It is intended for beginners who may not understand the market and it is more than 100 times more expensive than the direct trading market.

It is ill advised.

1 million units at 0.22 gold coins translated into
less than 5.000.000 for a gold coin.

5.000.000 units of electrical power on the market, will get you max. 40 million times 5 or 200M
(the currnet market price is even lower but it will never go above 40M per million).

one gold coin on the direct trading market will get you 29 BILLION!!!!!

this is at least 140 times more.

Current Market Price for Electric Power on LU: $40,810
Sell Price of 1 unit of Electric Power at 300 quality: $122,430
Sell Price of 1 million units of Electric Power: $122.43 Billion
Amount of Electric Power you can buy per gold coin at an exchange of .22 per million: over 4.5 million
Exchange rate of 1 gold coin to cash at a rate of .22 gold coins per 1 million Electric Power at a market price of $40,810: $550.9 BILLION/gold coin

Check your math Romeo. For purchasing cash directly with gold coins you would have to find a market price of Electric Power of close to $2,200 per unit (it doesn't get that low). At that price, each coin would only purchase Electric Power that would sell for $29.7 Billion. At the current market price, it would be worth buying 1 million Electric Power at 300 quality for about 4 coins each as each multiple of 250,000 Electric Power would sell for $30.6 BILLION.

Check this post here:

https://www.simcountry.com/discus/messages/1/25536.html?1455583491

I use to sell Electric Power for .5 gold coins per 1 million at 300 quality. Even then when market prices were globally lower, you could expect to exchange each gold coin for about $180-200 Billion. Much much better than handing over the same gold coin for a paltry $29 Billion.

We have been alerted to very very high pricing of products on the direct market.
Prices there should be higher but the computation as shown above is not correct.

we will do our own computation and place a comment.

By the way:
you can also purchase nuclear power. currently much cheaper, and when you get it, it shows as electric power.

Of course. Honestly, I very nearly scooped the power up. At .22 gold coins per 1 million power, it would value, say, 1000 of my gold coins at over $550 Trillion. When managing a large amount of account assets, one considers different strategies to growing and maintaining such assets against potential game changes. From that perspective, that kind of exchange might be considered almost future-proof. Consider, $550 Trillion might always be more valuable than 1000 gold coins, or any lessor combination.

However, I didn't act for two reasons. One, I would rather a more needy player get the chance to make the purchase. Two, I favor keeping a range of different assets, similar to maintaining a portfolio. I already have large amounts of game cash relative to the number of gold coins I possess. I currently have about $4 Trillion in game cash for each gold coin I have.

Oh my, something to aim for Aries! $T for each gold coin you have. Maybe I need to start thinking differently.
