Buying and selling strategies of corporations

the strategies of the corporations are always best price? i dont understand because i loose a lot of time to set a strategy for selling products and buying supplies but then when i click on the products offered by every corporation i always read "best price" and not for example "time strategy like it should be"

From my experimenting, the buy and sell strategies don't do anything. I just set everything to best price.

I think the reason it doesn't do anything is because everyone wants to buy low and sell high. Well it is impossible to buy low when everyone is selling high. So everything just ends up going to actual market price.

I even told my corporations one time to buy at above market price, and they still bought at the market price. Pointless feature.

New accounts and free accounts always sell at best price. Best price is whatever the current price is.

But the current price fluctuates frequently. On the Trade page for a country or CEO, or the transaction logs for a corp, click on "review recent sales" or "review recent purchases" to see the short-term price fluctuations. There are also long-term price fluctuations. Strategies are an option for trying to time transactions to particular prices within the fluctuations.

and it is the same about buying?

Yes, new/free accounts will buy at best price as well.
