So I did my first war as a new player. I moved some of my land units even though it wasnt necessary. Now all my land units show they have zero gasoline and zero military supplies. The slider set to resupply them and I have supply units. I have lots of gasoline and military supplies in stock.

Why aren't my units resupplying?

To resupply, you need to have the materials in your country, both gasoline and military supplies, also ammo and weapons if needed.

You also need to have supply units that are carrying the supplies from the country storage to the units.

Please let me know if it works or does not work for you.

Make sure you have trucks. The supply units pick up extra trucks to carry stuff so if you don’t have trucks they won’t do anything. Buy a few hundred thousand and you’ll be good.

It is so complicated... maybe some level of supplies could be delivered from base without having anything.i think current complexity in supply process causes players to overlook some of these dependencies while they could lose a war as a consequence and lost everything.

I won my last pvp because air defences were not responding due to lack of something on supplies and i don't think that was a fair fight.

This complexity causes uncertainty and insecurity.

It is a bit complex but we were talking recently about war levels and the knowledge level of players.

We do not want to trivialize the supply function.

In peace time, the supplies work directly from base to prevent the massive processing of supplies in all countries.

During war, good logistics is essential.
also real wars are won and lost due to the quality of supplies.

we should explain this better but then, in this new brave world, nobody reads.

I understand what you mean, still if we are talking how to prevent new brave players from losing wars, then at least some warning messsages should be set to warn them very clearly that their supply process will not work in case of war because of this and that.

I think this is one of those cases where people need to learn the hard way that they need enough supplies.

Lord Mndz I just found that the newspaper link I haven't been clicking on had been warning me for months about needed supply units. I'm checking it every day now. Seems like years ago, when I last played, the newspaper was more prominently displayed, maybe even popped up when I entered the game?

Just a heads up, some units do not resupply until necessary. Military Transport Aircraft units will never resupply until they are assigned a mission. They will get into negatives for aircraft fuel and supplies and you will get lots of newspaper things about it. Those ones are safe to ignore because the moment the plane is assigned a task it will pick up full supply from the airport.
