Production Plant Consumption for New Firm

So I ordered ten production plants to my stock, and they were delivered before my latest round of corporations finished construction. Five corporations were still in the production queue, in fact.

I log in this morning expecting to only have five production plants in stock... I still have ten.

Is that because the corps I built were already ordered and so queued up their own prodplant orders?

If I now order a new corp will I use one of the pre-purchased prodplants? Or is there ZERO reason for an enterprise to stock prodplants?

You need prod plants to build corps. Stocking a few is just good buisness (I have 60ish in store just for comparison)

You probably have not gotten permission yet to build your corporations in those countries.

Another firm built, still 10 prodplants in my stock. It told me, when I previewed, that there were 6 available.... I suspect what's happening is that it's pulling the prodplants from the _country_ stockpile, instead of the enterprise.

And I know I got permission because all corps have been built.

No that did not happen. If a ceo builds a corp it will be pulled from the ceo. The new corps probably had already ordered some. Then they got build, then those orders got fulfilled and you ended up with 6 left after the 10 corps.

So, when I then built a 7th - some six months after buying the 10 prodplants - and my stock of prodplants remained 10, how do you explain that?

Check your order logs. You probably had more production plants still waiting to being deliverd.

Corporations build by a ceo are payed for by a ceo. This includes any production plants used.

Okay, filing a bug report then, because they're not there either.

Confirmed: Production Plants are consumed from the COUNTRY stockpile. Enterprise has no reason to stock them.

I think it is meant to be that way. I never have them in my CEO, just countries.

The country must have the production plants.
