The newbie "help" made a corporation I don't want, don't need, and can't delete?!?

I'll say it again: WTF!

Why do I have to keep a corporation I didn't want or order?

This seriously needs to be fixed, along with the other ways the automated system sabotages the new players.

I'm trying to get my country ready for losing the newbie benefits, and the automated system just sucked down most of my cash to screw me.

You should turn off the automation - in particular the part where the game builds new corporations for you.

For what it's worth, I recommend players always turn off all automation except for automatic reactivation of weapons in time of war and automatic placing orders of products countries need. All else is very poor and leads to worse countries, has no impact, or initiates vast amounts of messaging that is unneeded.

I see you're posting a lot of questions and a lot of feedback on the forums, James. I'm sorry there aren't better guides or much response from other players or any GMs. Discord is the best place to (maybe) get help, but for the most part, unless you have a relationship with a veteran player, it's difficult to learn beyond trial and error these days.

Yeah, I already turned off the automation where it allows the game to build corporations for me, but apparently the newbie help bypasses that, and still builds one.

I didn't want to turn the newbie help off because I'm highly dependent on the 3x revenue it provides.

Automatic placing of orders is also turned off, but the game still places orders for me monthly, even when I have newbie help turned off.

As far as Discord goes: there are many reasons not to go there. At least 2 of those reasons apply to myself. It is a shame that the Devs have removed in game chat in favor of an external way to talk, it makes the game feel more like a single player game than an MMO. This is made worse for starting on a world like Golden Rainbow, where there is basically no economy to speak of, and everything is deep red for demand exceeding supply.

Newbie help is not tied to the revenue. Revenue is tied to account age.

Automatic placing of orders being turned off means you will need to manually order EVERYTHING, which I do not recommend. Orders may still get placed for things you're about to run out of. The game more or less attempts to prevent you from running a deficit when it checks each game month and tkaes action.

I say this as advice, not to be condescending: Don't assume anything works as you think it does. Trying to dodge things generally isn't successful. Trying to create work arounds when you're new to the current format probably won't work. There are many "safeguards" in place.

Golden Rainbow is *very* quiet, as are all planets except White Giant these days.

I understand your reservations about discord. I brought it up merely to state that's about the only place you are likely to find help.

Contracts can cover many things, cutting down on how much I need to manually order.

I typically place orders for about 12 months worth, meaning those things I need to manually order only have to be ordered every 2-3 game days.

This is better than allowing the automated system to poorly manage ordering for a new player, at least for me.

And the main reason I turned it off was that the automated system kept ordering stuff I already have on contract.

I've already found that out with a corporation being dropped in despite having the auto help turned off.

I've since turned off the newbie help also, which I believe was the cause.
