Allied Forces on Little Upsilon (Little Upsilon)

Fellow Presidents of Little Upsilon,

I have been helping a number of recent-to-power presidents and some of them have joined Allied Forces Federation.

AF now has 4 members and 12 countries, spanning 5 continents and producing 1.5% of the LU presidents' production.

I'm now opening the door to general requests for membership.

About 900 (GR) years (about 10 RL years) after the first Allied Forces federation was opened, and ceased after 800 (GR) years (at least 1 RL year), the constitution of Allied Forces has risen.

Many of the abilities AF campaigned for over the many years have been enacted. We now see proper empire defence, protection for new players, a new war engine and the ability to move an empire's military around much better, as well as the main being secured.

AF today has opened up Allied Forces North and Allied Forces South to accommodate our slave countries.

Please apply for membership of Allied Forces for your your slaves in the Northern 6 continents, and membership of Allied Forces South for slaves on the Southern 4 continents.

I quit around 2007... I'm curious what happened with " Matt. ".
By that time you had some 1v1 wars... but what happened next?

Anyone actually won? It was a draw and time later Matt. quit?

Wow, a person who was around with the old history.

There was peace between AF, Yankee and Matt for a couple of years from the beginning of 2006.

The treaty held and wasn't broken by either party except for the odd rogue member who was always cut loose, and this maintained a strong peace. It gave AF 8 continents and Yankee and Matt had 1 each.

The GMs changed the war engine which AF had wanted but had become complacent and didn't adapt quick enough. Matt left as he didn't like it.

UC was setup in 2008 and had learned about the new war engine and became the new threat to AF's world peace.

After spats, UC and AF went to war but AF wasn't prepared and despite the vast size of AF's military it was practically a sitting duck with the new war engine.

Interesting. Thanks for the history input. I remember the whole Simcountry crew waiting for you guys going to war and we were all glady amazed when it happened. You all made the other worlds become freeze for days hehehe

I came back to White Giant, my main world... and without the known names around I still feel weird.


There is almost no one from the "old days" from any world... I feel like a grandpa with only 26 years old hahaha

War engine has indeed changed drastically, I'm still trying to get used to, too.
What it's surprise me most is the amount of real weeks (I think that maybe 2 months?) that are needed to build up 50k FP+Ammo and 50k NFP+Ammo.
Looks like that amount nowadays is a strong offensive army while it used to be medium before.

Lol, I'm glad we finally gave some entertainment.

I enjoyed having Matt as an enemy but effectively became "allies" in the end, maintaining peace on GR for 2 years. Some people are coming back , and I would be surprised if Matt does to. If I can find his email again, I might write to him and tempt him.

I know what you mean about the known names but that can be the fun part of the challenege. Remaking your mark and building alliances. Don't worry, I feel ancient in game terms, having started over a millennia ago in game terms.

You need any where near the number of weapons/ammo as one did in the past. The option of going to war on the economic worlds (all but FB) is very remotem and there simply isn't the incentive to do so at the moment.

My 3000T of weapons in my 3 war countries from the old days would be a comeplete over kill now.
