Tuesday, April 14, 2009 - 06:51 pm  The United Kingdom of Mobius, a small Eridanian nation, has been at peace with its neighbours for the entirity of its short twenty-seven year tenure on Fearless Blue. Today that peace was threatened by a thinly veiled, completely unwarranted threat in the form of the following diplomatic communiqué:
This violent neighbour which seeks empire over us, several times refused military access to our sovereign soils, now seems intent on imposing its will upon us in the form of this laughable treaty. We bow to no foreign power. And we do not respond well to threats. Our diplomats, withdrawn finally from what is now clearly hostile territory, have issued in no uncertain terms our response to this appalling affront to our sovereign existance; we shall not capitulate. We shall not be found wanting, and we shall not be subject to the whim of a hostile power. Our enemy is not so strong as he would wish, and his intent is not so strong as our will. Time is on our side, and when the enemy finally comes to strike out at us we shall lick our wounds and bide our time. And when at last we do retort, a deathly knoll shall sound out across his empire. His imperium over the lands to the north shall falter and fail before our intent resolve. And when at last naught but the smouldering ashes of his capital remain, his people crushed and defeated with only their leader to thank, we shall claim our retribution for this grave insult. We will fight. We will march on. The Third Reich will fall. The United Kingdoms of Mobius prevail, and history shall rejoice with the victor. (OOC: lol. Nazi-commies?)

| Thursday, April 23, 2009 - 01:40 am Breaking News: After a valliant offensive military action by the United Kingdom of Mobius, the empire nations of The Soviet Union both fell within a day of war being declared. The resounding victory has been attributed to the Mobian blitz tactics, which saw both air and armoured divisions of the military sweep through the enemy nations, brushing aside opposing forces with relative ease. Troop mobilisation was rapid, and critics of the Mobian government voiced reservations regarding the inexperienced military's abilities to wage war on foreign soil. Those critics were silenced as the last bastion of enemy resistance fell and the final nation was brought under direct Mobian control. "The results are better than we could have hoped for at the start of all this," A government strategist spoke at a special news conference, "The King is indeed pleased with the results, and our first threat to national security has been neutralised without a single shell troubling Mobian soil." Casualty reports are yet to be completed, but out hearts tonight go out to those brave Mobian heros who will not be returning with victory. Their sacrifice will not be forgotten quickly. July 16th, a day that will no doubt become a national holiday, shall be enshrined in the nation's collective memory for all time. This has been a Mobian Central News Report. (OOC: No more commies!)
