You would be surprised how many people do nuke themselves stash!

Not all forms of nuclear weapon give fallout, only the big ones, bombs and submarines.

Actually - in "real life" an unprovoked attack on another country does not bring respect - but rebuke - especially in the UN Security Council, but also alliances, like NATO. The aggressor might be called a "rogue nation" and the view is that only rouge nations attack and invade unprovoked.

There would be a lot of emergency meetings of the Security Council and resolutions condemning the aggressor. There could also be a Security Council authorized coalition put together to drive the aggressor out of the country that was invaded.

Yes - NATO would get involved to some extent if the victim of the attack is a NATO member. Aid can include fly over rights and stationing forces in NATO member country. NATO is an organization of regional security and self defense- so Security Council consultation is not needed.

There is no point in comparing the politics here to reality. Too many factors that apply in the real world; do not apply here. Too many factors that apply here; do not apply in the real world.

However, I'm confident that in some ethnically homogenous, culturally homogenous, linguistically homogenous, and religiously homogenous demogogic, fascist universe where radiation doesn't poison areas for centuries and people were happy being treated as thralls of monolithic states and it's leaders (whose longevity compared to the common folk is nothing short of godlike)... that things here would perfectly mimic reality.

On second thought, there'd be no rulers anything like us in such a universe.

...If there were rulers like us, the world as we know it would have been lost a long time ago. At best, it would be a return to the Dark Ages. At worst, no world. We of simcountry are crazy, and should not be in charge of any world organization.
