Hi, I just completed my first war in Level 1 and lost a lot of bombers in my Attack and Bomber wings. Every time I attacked a fortification or corporation I would lose 15-30 bombers and in the Log it would say:

"The attack may have been reduced or eliminated by Anti Missile Missiles and the unit did not receive any ground support."

How do I provide ground support and Anti Missile Missiles for a bombing unit?

I created a Long Range Division and Occupation Unit then posted them in the enemy territory by the fortification or corporation I was going to bomb and they didn’t provide missile support at all. Is there a special unit that does this?

Thanks!

Generally, you want to make sure you've totally suppressed the enemy interceptors, and then hit the defences before you hit the target. If you bomb the target, you give the defending AA guns the ability to shoot the whole time, whereas if you hit the defences first, you'll kill them early. You'll use more bombs, though.

I did a test at WL2, bomber wing quality about 270. 3 corps killed defences-first cost me 5 bombers and 682 bombs. Killing them target-first cost me 24 bombers and 263 bombs. Financially, the extra 419 bombs costs $3.16B, whereas the extra 19 bombers cost $3.27B(at base market price, not adjusted for quality) - given that I use higher-quality weapons than ammo, this means defences-first is both a fair bit cheaper(more than it looks above) and it imposes less annoyance on your wings.
