Profit --> cash?

Hello everybody,
According to the finance page of my country, i'm making a profit of around 9B each gamemonth ( this is the case for a couple of real months already). Yet my cash didn't increase at all. How exactly it that possible?

The Profit you make doesnt take into account the materials your Country buys each month to sustain it's Population.

That's not exactly true, the products your country "buys" for the population is offset by that money being added into the country by the population. So it is added and subtracted. I imagine the reason is so the devs could just use their country stock system while still reflecting private consumption for the simulation.
