Hello all.

I am the President of the United Kingdom of Smurfs. Currently my country's profits are a little odd; one month I am making sixteen billion per month; the next it is plumetting to fourteen billion (as just happened). I am kind of hoping some experienced players can offer some tips after looking at my country. I was focusing on silver mining and household products, however silver has been overproduced now (D:) and nearly all of my corporations made a negative profit recently. Please help.

Yours,
Smurf

PS I dismantled all military units to cease military spending and have set corporation supply quality to 190, and salaries to 300.

Dont spezialise too much in any specific product. The ups and downs of the Profit is just Happening because the selling of products isnt equally distributed over the year, especially if you produce something in oversupply, which products will sell only when needed so it can happen those products keeps accumulating in the corps

Try increasing your employment rate and social security index.
A higher social security index generally increases the productivity of your corporations, which means more profit. But if you also have large numbers of unemployed workers, this can hurt your financial index (Country Profits/Cash).

When trying to increase your employment rate, try to look for CEO's that are willing to build in your country. Their corporations are more profitable than state owned corporations. But to attract CEO's you'll probably want to lower your corporate taxes, but you could probably increase your corporate profit sharing.

'A higher social security index generally increases the productivity of your corporations'
Sry but that is wrong. The only difference the SSI makes is through Welfare and that is calculated like this:

'The welfare index is taking the lowest value of several other indexes:

The health index
The Education Index
The Transportation index
The Supply index + 40
The Employment index + 35
The Social Security Index + 40
The Government Salary Index + 25
'
This is from the Game Documentation. You see to have an 'ideal' Welfare of about 130 you only need 90 SSI

Okay. So I should have a variety of corps with different production, yes?

Also, profits are continously falling, from 16 billion to 13... I'll close a few specialised corps and open some others.

Well, you have to take a look at the markets and look out for products that are more often in shortage then in Surplus, the more/longer shortages the better
