My Fellow Presidents of Kebir Blue,

I recently introduced a Security Council proposal to end the continued nuclear attacks by the New World Order. That proposal passed the Security Council by a vote of 9 to 2 in favor of the proposal and the resolution passed and was accepted on June 5, 3702.

It is never my intention to meddle in the affairs of any other nation. I am totally opposed to any type of one world government. However, nuclear warfare, even as ineffective as nuclear weapons are in SimCountry is not something we should consider lightly. I think that this is a matter of mutual concern to all of us and not simple meddling. It is certainly not the simple affair of two federations as it affects the entire world of Kebir Blue.

The facts are simple. The New World Order declared war on the Kingdom of Marietta which is an abandoned, inactive country with no defense. I have no objections to that at all. But instead of taking the country over New World Order has used it as a nuclear testing site. The country is located adjacent to a number of occupied, active countries and whether there is nuclear fallout or not this is unacceptable behavior. Interestingly, NWO chose a country thousands of miles from NWO or any other member of NWO own federation.

Since May 14, 3701 New World Order has detonated eight (8) nuclear weapons on multiple cities in that country including multiple strikes on the capital. These eight nuclear attacks are documented in the Kingdom of Marietta newspaper by month.

New World Order posted his first attack in the SimCountry forum in the Kebir Blue section proudly announcing his achievement to the world. Then knowing this resolution had been introduced in the Security Council after his first nuclear attack New World Order said this in the Kebir Blue section of the Forum: quote - I'm not being aggressive sir I'm just showing my new weapon capabilities and there's no need to sanction me I won't use these weapons again unless they are used against me. unquote

That is what NWO said but what NWO did was launch seven (7) more nuclear attacks despite no one having used any nuclear weapons against him.

Now the Chairman of the Coastline Federation in which New World Order is a member has stated publicly in the SC forum that they will defy the lawful will of the presidents of Kebir Blue if this resolution is passed. The Coastline Federation Chairman stated: quote -Regarding the SC vote, the accusations within and the damaging effect it has had, we have chosen to defy this and undermine it as much as possible. There will be further missile launches for some time to come within the target area. unquote

It is unfortunate that this type resolution has to be passed but we must take a stand on what is acceptable and responsible behavior when dealing with weapons of mass destruction. The Security Council is a legal body of all KB presidents and is designed to deal with issues such as this through a democratic process. In fact the New World Order and his federation chairman hold seats on the Security Council and had the opportunity to vote on this resolution. Now the Security Council has spoken and it is up to the New World Order and the Coastline Federation to obey the law of the land.

Now, my Fellow Presidents, it is your opportunity to stand and clearly say to everyone that there will be a rule of law, there will be nuclear weapons restraint and there will be peace on Kebir Blue.

Thank you for your time.

Christos

I totally stand by Jack on this issue. It's the first time I can remember during the 3 years I've been playing this game that our peaceful world has had to deal with such a situation. It's also the first time I've seen such a massive vote in the Security Council. 11 out of 17 members voted and passed the resolution by 9-2, meaning the resolution got approved by the absolute majority of the Security Council, not just by the majority of those who did vote.

I believe this is a matter of respecting the rules. I have known Tony, the Chairman of the Coastline Federation, for years and he has proved to be sensible and trustworthy. I always considered him a friend and an ally, and so do everyone in the Unique, even though we never were in the same Fed. I'm therefore sure that he will take all necessary steps to ease tensions and ensure that the Security Council's decisions are honoured by everyone.

Jack, I would like to thank you for this statement.

I would like to start by saying, we expected the resolution to pass wildly. This is however rather damaging on diplomatic terms. As previously stated, the CF has no interest in escalating this situation, however it's likely we will consider some what personal retaliation to balance the NWO's loss of nuclear assets. This could be some sort of sanction, a break down in a specific area of relations, or even a provocative kind of gesture.

Our tactics my not be liked by everyone, but I can assure you, they will certainly not change for anyone.

I wish you all the best and conclude this interesting situation is over.

Christos, Unfortunately I didn't see your message until I had posted mine. I thank you for your kind words, indeed between a few of us we have done some great things over the years. It is unfortunate this situation developed, the SC has spoken and we accept its outcome. The easing of tensions would seem to be in the interests of all parties involved, I am sure that will take place shortly.

Over the past week, military units from the CF have been mounting on one of the border states of the Soviet Federation chairman. Noticing the defence budget is under strain, some military muscle has been flexed in the area. Call it intimidation towards the 3 way Unique alliance, this is directly in response to the SC vote that restricted Dylan from using his nuclear assets by the Unique chair. They will stick around until Sunday and likely move on..

I call for the sanctions against Dylan to be lifted within the next 10 sim years. We are open to discussing this matter further.

The reason this has come about BlackEyes, your federation and the Soviet federation both got away with launching nuclear missiles after Dylan did with out resistance. Why, because you along with the SF are allied with the Unique. I brand this extremely unfair and I am not willing to stand for this. I have much respect for you BlackEyes and I ask you weigh in on this? I know Dylan was a member of your federation before I scooped him up. I again call on the Unique to retract this measure, you have one rule for one Dylan and another for everyone else.

I am receiving unconfirmed reports of the situation mentioned above escalating after taking another turn. I am in the process of responding accordingly and I offer a stark warning that we should all tread carefully. My forces will now remain on the soviet border beyond Sunday, with an increase of troops. Strikingly it would seem I am arguing this alone, but be it Dylan or someone else... the point still stands, if international law is to be upheld, everyone should be treated the same.

Andrew, Jack and Blackeyes, its you're move. The CF awaits on the Soviet border. The fact that I know you could take the CF out... and I am putting myself right on the firing line, that must count for something.

My Distinguished Colleague and Friend Tony,

I have read your statements and your stated demand - I call for the sanctions against Dylan to be lifted within the next 10 sim years. We are open to discussing this matter further.

As a fellow member of the Security Council I refer you to the Security Council site -Regarding the resolution about NWO it states - Resolution accepted on Jun 5 3702 and effective until Dec 5 3709

As I write this the date on Kebir Blue is March 10, 3710.

It seems your demand has been met. Now can we be friends and get a pint together?

Well Ill be dammed...

I was under the impression SC votes stayed on until lifted. If this is the case.. I can only say, my point does still stand..

However Jack it would seem there is little more I have to say on the matter myself, there is not a smiley that can describe my face right now.

Ill withdraw the forces on Sunday. Right then... pub?....
