Anyone hear what happened to Jack (Republic of Carolina)?

I have tried to contact Jack of the Republic of Carolina for some time now but he has not answered any of my emails. I think he has left the game. His one country West Carolina just went bankrupt -and looks like his other countries are going to follow. Anyone last heard from him or know what happened?
