Leaving SC (Fearless Blue)

I will be leaving SC. It has just been confirmed that I have ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). It is a degenerative (and fatal) neural disease.

I hardly know what to say. We all have to face our own mortality at some point.

How true, each of us faces our own mortality eventually. in one sense you are luckier than many who have to face it instantly and in another not so lucky because you know it is coming sooner than you expected and probably deserve. Might I suggest, create a bucket list - do those things you want to do and damn the torpedoes, enjoy as much as you can what is left and if anyone gets in your way send em my way!

One of my good friends has ALS as well. It's a difficult thing. I'm truly, truly sorry that this happened in your life, and I wish only the best.

Adam, our game friendship was made in the Green Barets Federation. Thanks for all your game advice and support. I enjoyed the talks about our RL military service. Strangely, the Green Barets were splintered into separate ways by the Attila Andy and Adam War. I stayed neutral in the war and occasionally messaged you. You went on to join the SFO headquarters and I went on to join the Three Musketteers. Andy accepted that I wouldn't wage war against you. You had been a worthy adversary to many. Fear none, respect some. I respect what you did after your game setbacks. Your empire expanded and military strenghthen. I'm sure your game knowledge and leadership were a asset to the SFO. You were very helpful to many players. You often posted advice and hints on the game forum. This is a silly game, RL is more important. I wish you and your family the best. I am felling a little better today, so I thought I would take a look. Thanks for all of the kind words.

I see Andy and All have had fun breaking down the defenses of my old empire. Imagine how much fun we could have had, if I had been there to defend. You should be getting a good weapons haul.

I have also deregged my enterprises, so the GM will be getting about 700 more corps. Have fun. I was so close to Level 7, and on FB. I was going to dereg all of those junk countries and just pop up to 7.
