Anybody else notice that even though their corps' trade strategy is very obviously set to TIME and set to start high and increase aggressively in order to make sure they are at the top of the list to get supplies...they don't get them.
Looking at 'retract material orders' shows all orders up as 'best price'.
Kind of sucks. I want goodies.

Also noted, that when going through all corps and manually making orders for 3 months worth of supplies with Immediate selected.

Clicking the 'retract material orders' link shows all orders, except that it shows them ALL as best price.

I would note that it might be related to a common market bug as many of the items listed are ones that at one time used to be available and contracted through common market. I'm hoping the corps are not permanently ruined in the area of ~buythisstupid~.

As far as I know, if you are a free player than you are stuck on best price...or, if the country is new I think there is something like a 12 day automated thing that can't be shut down. But, I may be wrong.

Definitely out of the 2 week automated window now, all buy (and sell) orders are going out at 'best price' and not being filled since there are shortages.

Even being able to set it up a tiny bit should put me ahead of the C3 corps; but I can't.

During the helpmephase 2 week span, it also closed 2 rather profitable corporations on me...very frustrating. I now have a High Tech Services #2 that is very well advanced of #1 because number 1 was shut down by the game. I then had to recreate one.

15Bagilion shortage of a product; and if the world is automated one would think it wouldn't close profitable corps making something in short supply. Would also be nice if I could price it up a bit.

If I need to spend a few bucks to enjoy the game that is fine...but I don't want to do it on hearsay.

Yah, I understand...I do think though that free members are stuck on best price. I believe it says that somewhere on the order strategies for the corporation. I had that problem with my current account, and an account I held several years ago...in both instances it went away after becoming a premium member. But, one possible work around could be joining a common market. You might end up paying a little bit more for supplies, but you will have far fewer shortages and won't need to use immediate orders.

Yeah. No such explanation exists that I have found. I think the common market is what screwed it up originally for me - the 'best price' orders that never get fulfilled were the ones that were otherwise supposed to be fulfilled from within my own country. Chemicals was the big one...which was one of the corps that the game closed for me that was otherwise quite profitable. That closure canned every other country using the common market...so this really is just plain dumb.
