The war game is entirely flawed. What genius thought it was a good idea for Cruise missile ships to bypass the helis. Not to mention SB's don't counter attack against a navy. If your not online the moment the war goes active your in trouble. Total exploit. Hard luck Altered.

Plus the fact someone can shuttle an entire mobile army to another planet and take over the number 1 and 2 war index countries is entirely wrong.

But if you are a serious gamer, then one goal is to always find the exploits of the game. And use it to your advantage, it sucks if your
on the losing end, but every game has a few exploits just waiting to be found & used.

I have placed a thread on the Problems forum regarding those weapons. I agree there should be some way to setup a defense that targets those weapons but I don't believe helis are the answer.

As for shuttling, you were right the first time. I used navy weapons in my assault. These weapons cannot be shuttled. I did shuttle in some defensive weapons and ammo. Who is against that?

Your entire air def is mobile. Shuttled from another world into your little 30 mill pop country. You've just taken down 2 countries with 500 mill pop total. There's no way that 30 mill pop could support that army. So yeah I'm against it. It's no different than the c3 tactic that was used years ago and frowned upon by everyone. It's worse infact. A c3 still had limits.

Helis and DMB's should be the answer. Just like it used to be. It's the way the new navies where introduced that's the problem.

30 mil don't support mobiles, they are professional soldiers. you can counter navy tactics and c3 do not use those counters, but in pvp you can counter. MIB is a good friend in countering cruise ships missiles whiles the land 2 sea batts have a longer range and can take out the ships. of course at a high cost to both. it is possible to play and defend against some of what you said. Note we play on a multi planet environment so its flawed to think 1 planet as just a empire when this is not just a one world game is 5 worlds. let not just say someone can, anyone can shuttle over an army. there were plans of a bombing mobile too FYI. so it can get worse on that aspect. I understand and agree on some level what you say VikingX, but you can't take this game at one world level and everyone can do it. it just like the real world, if you have the cash and resources, then you have more power than one who doesn't.

You didn't get it drys. I know how mobiles work. What im saying is that a 30 mill pop country couldn't support the army that you can assemble through the use of mobiles. It brings back that old argument of risk reward. Mobiles have magnified the problem 10 fold imo. This war was a good example. 1 player risked little. The other lost the lot.

Also MIB's are a useless defence. You'd prob need an entire garrison of them to fully intercept. Even then you can just attack them first.

IMO the best defense, is a good offense!

Regarding cruise, they are extremely effective. I too think there should be a better defence against them.

That doesn't really apply here Supreme Red. Your offence is useless unless your online to actually use it. Defence is there to slow down an attacker whilst you're offline. What we've just witnessed is 2 massive countries fallen within 2 months of the war starting. Without the air defence being touched. Fed air at that. Which im guessing is massive. Completely bypassed. So if you cant get online right away to destroy the navy with your offence. Then all your offence is is valuable swag for the bad guy.

And i used the same tactics with my navy not that long ago.

i did get it and the mobile is a unit already. has its own supplies. since you bring it with you the country could be able to support it if it were stocked properly or had time to order. In real life it would be like UN or another country sending forces (ie their your own countries though) on the other hand yes it is in big loss to lose many mobiles in a war that were ineffective.
IMO: garrisons = speed bumps, so you can slow them down. won't stop them. hopefully it gives you time and makes it hard on the attacker. of course that is if your supply units are working and such. but still only a short delay, I agree.
also, IMO: attack subs should counter attack the navy. so each land, air and sea has a automatic counter attack. they should work like stealth wings.
Just throwing it out their that maybe someone agrees.

IMO tho this game is a fucking disgrace, when it comes to PvP. So many damn flaws and nothing works as advertised.

Which is why i prefer first person shooter games. At least in that enviroment one can lose with some dignity.

Let me enlighten you, since you don't seem to "get it." Alterd was brought down by Aries, because he is crap at the war game. Always has been. He's all talk. He typically is wiped out. Go read through the forums, the proof is there for years and years. Thanks to Aries' mercy, he has something left. Left up to me, he'd been wiped out of the game to start over.

Aries is a seasoned war player and economic player in the game. Skill and knowledge of the war game as it is, the weapons and their uses, ranges, distances is what brought Aries his victory. You can have lots of weapons, but if you don't know what they do, you might as well have nothing. Aries constantly studies the game and the changes. I seriously doubt that Alterd has done this. He just buys stuff. A high war index in the game, means NOTHING. To think this is to be stupid. You don't understand the indices.

Seems like I'm the only 1 who gets it actually. I've played this game for a long long time. With all the changes that's taken place, none are more absurd than air defence being bypassed. Time will prove me right. I've no doubt.
