Who is governing this planet nowadays?

I also wouldn't mind if someone could give me the lowdown in laymans terms of automatic rises in War Levels if you fight c3s?

Is this the way it is now to prevent c3 raiding? I had high hopes of growing my country organically with population transfers.

I am on FB. You will automatically move up war levels if you fight a C3 war at your level more than I think is 4 times. Once you get past level 3 though, you can always fight a war at level 3 if you don't want to move up. So you can't stay in permanent protection and do C3 raids, but you don't have to continue fighting harder and harder C3s either. You can certainly grow your country using population transfers. Zen has a great guide on doing it on the forum.

I believe the reason it was instituted was to kill the old endless raiding at low war levels, and to promote PvP. Whether that has worked or not is open to debate.

Not sure how long you've been out - but population transfers now do not require a transfer in both directions with salary caps. It's streamlined so you can automatically transfer out 200k a month if under 20 million pop, 400k if over, in the country initiating. Which is a nice change.

Cool, thanks for the insight. I thought it odd I accidentally stumbled upon straight transfer not a pop exchange with my slave I initially thought it was a glitch, but I'll take it.

Zentrino, I did read Zen's post on it, I thought it was wierd but the docs make it seem like you can only go up with progressive wars. I personally like the new changes on that level.

To protect the newer players there needs to be stronger fed presence to guide new players into pvp wars. Back in the day, LDI's Sam Houston would have war games and weapons tests with Jason. Needless to say he became a powerful war player in his own time. Mentoring is key. Especially when players find themselves in PVP war levels after c3 raiding.

There are very few players on FB at high WLs and even fewer who have experience in PvP war play. I keep thinking about going up to WL12 but haven't done it yet. Maybe sometime before the year's end I will...

For population transfers, Zen's system is a better way than straight transfers of population from raided C3s. His way maintains a lower overall average age, which keeps your country growing naturally. If you transfer pop straight from the raided country into your country, you will increase your average age and begin to lose population.

I agree about the feds too. Zen and I have a fed with the intention that we would mentor newer players in the art of war. We haven't actually found anyone ready to join us though.

Perhaps I will be able to assist you in this endeavor. We must identify active players with no federation and lacking game experience.

I'm in a Federation on Fearless Blue. All seem to be new players, but are active. Give me a shout on FB. They could definitely use a better mentor then me. What kind of benchmarks are you looking for joining up or a military alliance?

No benchmarks Marshal. Just a desire to learn an be active in the game.

In the olden days lol, there were 2 superfeds that basically governed and opposed each other on the game worlds. ?This drove competition and participation in both econ and war aspects of the game. I wouldn't mind joining, assisting, or just cooperating with any active players willing to build a federation of active players that could span the globe.

We can discuss structure, placement of new/newer players into academy federations, and graduation into full members of an active governing federation. Eventually the dynamic of a larger federation will beg a nemesis. I will be the first to tell you, without conflict or threat of conflict there is no logical reason to want to learn to fight. It doesn't mean we will always win but with any encounter comes invaluable experience that makes players that much better.

When I was a newb(noob) I was a horrible player. I ran my mouth and I remember Barney took my first slave. I lost my proverbial s***. Came to find out, my fed leader, LAGUNA set it up so I could learn a lesson 1) to learn how to carry myself in the game and the reality of consequences of my actions 2) So I could actually learn 'something' through the experience.

I took it really hard. It was a whole 13M pop slave... but it was my slave. I was devastated lol. But the experience, drove me to become a notorious war player. I developed effective(sometimes questionable[Ha!] tactics and a huge desire to be 'good' at the war game.

Overall, I think Laguna ultimately got a lesson in being careful about opening Pandora's Box, you never know what you may get. But my point is, the box MUST be opened to see what's inside. In my case the devastation of a loss of my beloved basically c3 slave drove me to participation.

Every players' introduction into this aspect of the game doesn't have to be as emotionally charged as mine. The effort we may put forth could be the thing that creates 10 players of future legendary status. It could create 10 versions of my early game, legendary problems. However, either result would drive the game. That's a win regardless. Participation is where it's at.

In short I just want to build the foundation for whatever planet I am on. To drive a narrative, or create a new one altogether. Players are the lifeblood of the game. Simply clicking and fixing economies isn't going to complete a simcountry experience. Conflicts brings allies and enemies together. Like Yin and Yang, when these forces combine, there is a fullness obtained that is otherwise not possible.

Sounds like an exciting future in store for Fearless Blue. Maybe I should buy some defensive weapons or something. Hmmm :)

Haha Zentrino. It'd be a good start.

I had to fact check myself, I'm pretty sure Barney and Jason took a 24M pop country from me. Still c3 status but yeah it was mine.

I've been on for about a year. Was extremely productive the first 6 months then just went inactive after getting bored. No active powerful federations to demolish ):

Was going to do a full scale war with gop fb after smokes left, but then I stopped didnt want to get involved more in something I feel bad over. My worst trait, guilt.
Sadly for me I had no one attack me, mostly because I never ran my mouth. I started out as strict econ, and still play in most cases by a strict policy of strike back but dont start the war. I tend to boast and get full of myself now though since well, honestly there is very little competition in simcountry at the moment to be honest. Kinda annoying because I can't learn from others mostly teaching myself as I go now. After a little fight defending Zentrino from Black Eyes I decided to learn some more things from Aries, Now I probably have more military assets than 95% of the other players excluding the very top and old accounts, and with all of that I have yet to have to defend myself from a determined attacker. I have no pvp experience I simply know how to spam the hell out of LBCM and Conv with a ton of MRMB and OAA ground units.

I wrote some guides for population. Pretty easy and common sense to follow. I can create a country from 11m to 299m population within a (real)month on WG if I please costing a grand total of 0gc and a ton of SC$, mostly military loss.( - 3 corporations per month booster )

Was told about you, good to see you back. Also I like that band as well.

As for planet governors there is no one. WhiteBoy has the most military assets on FB, but he doesnt seem interested in fights. I would be next in military assets on fb.... I think..?( Im leaving so who cares )Zentrino, Vespasian, chiwoo, casual industries are some others who have significant military assets on fb. It's been a while since I checked, if you have more than 500T military assets please list your name below.( excluding aries and old inactive accounts )

If I had to guess, I would say I am right at 500T. I haven't checked in awhile but I was close last time I did. There is a handful of us who are probably all in that ballpark.

I have zero T's lol. I think the conflict thing will happen... eventually. I am not sure that needs to be our primary activity in creating a more robust structure on FB.

-Perhaps Merging of active smaller feds.

-support the active base of players who are here.

-support new players and to coax them into activity and desire to become a real player, not just a president.

-Economy and War Training Assistance. 1 to 1 mentoring.

-Making meeting times in chat for real time interaction maybe 1 or 2 times per week.

-Setting an agenda for the structure group once weekly.

These are some starting points we could probably focus on. And for the record, I don't want to be 'leader'. I'm perfectly fine with any experienced player leading and future participants taking on the role.

I think Allied Forces and The UC had some of the best policies and procedures in place for this kind of thing. I would like to drive the effort, not dictate or own it. I am sure at some point an old adversary is going to come along painting this as such. So I will choose caution to protect the movement.

At this moment there is Zen, Zentrino, Marshal, myself. It'd be cool if we had a 5th or otherwise odd number of participants and create a formation council or something to that effect.

I also have no problem hosting a banner site off-server for the organization and private meetings. Like a wix site or something.

I will begin sending you all Federation invitations.

Can You List a slave name to send to the collective.

Anyone willing to lend a hand other than those already present are able to join.

At present, this is just a council of Presidents involved in The Foundation's creation. It does not indicate a military or political alliance unless otherwise determined through meeting or decisions made by the Council Of Presidents.

It has become clear to me that Wendy has presented a hostile attitude towards the interests of the Aries Empire. Until further notice, Aries security forces will take special interest in keeping tabs on all known associates as having potential hostile intentions.

Thank You

Well at east there is some interaction. Yay, go me! No one need to fear this little one. Given some time, what was denied by the 15 will be supplied by The One.

You know, perhaps I was going about this whole thing wrong. The speeches, the political rallies... they won't bring change... Change will be come by way of the unknown soldiers, the leaderless resistance.

Yea Yu Rite Nana......

You don't really mean that everyone who "associates" with Wendy is a potential enemy? I am not even sure I know what constitutes "association" on here. I don't like being told I shouldn't "associate" with a player unless I want to accept veiled threats of force for doing so.
Friends? :)
