Help to stop the bleeding!!

I am new and trying to learn the game by reading the forums. I thought I was doing ok and then out of nowhere I have a 57 Employment index and epic unemployment . My corps are having going out of business sales and I can’t get the high tech executives to build up enough to open new corps. So I was wondering what caused my rapid downturn and what can I do to slow/stop the bleeding before it’s too late.

It almost seems that your education index is too low and your universities aren't training enough skilled workers to fill the labor requirements. I'm assuming you are still getting the beginning income booster , so you should have some cash from that to help build the education up. It is a slow but gradual process and you may not see improvements immediately. Also check your education priorities to see which worker categories have severe shortages. Then adjust your indexes to address those shortages.

I am short high tech executive and no matter what I set it at 1 to 99 it stays at 0 available . I am at a loss here. The only thing I can think of is I spent a lot of coins an up grades maybe that is driving the high tech shortage

You are short HT Engies not Execs and your priority is set at 3 for them.

Education doesn't happen immediately. When you change the priorities it takes a couple of days to see the full effect.

I would suggest that you leave the teaching and hospital where they are. Set the managers at 6 and HTE at 35, HTS at 25 and HTX at 21. This should give you the engies you need without wiping out the others.

You will have to readjust the numbers in a day or two to prevent other shortages. In general the higher class workers need higher priorities. Look around at other countries to see what other players are using.

It would greatly help if you could find someone willing to trade workers.
