Dear Gothard43,

I look a moment and read through your posts. It appears that you were nuked several times. In fact, just eyeballing it, it appears you had millions dead and wounded from nukes.

While I understand and respect the desire to get back at those who nuked you, I am not sure that the ability to purchase nukes would help you much.

In order to use a nuke, you'd need to declare war on someone.

Thinking this through.... to declare war on WGC, would likely expose your innocent civilian population, from the mothers and fathers, to the children and grandparents, from the factory workers to the teachers to the nurses, to being nuked themsleves.

Your second thought may be that you want the nukes incase you do get attacked. This would not help you either. Were you to get attacked, the first thing attacked would be your ability to nuke. Thus, that would not work either.

Nukes never have been, nor will they every be either a threat or viable defense in Sim Country without changes in the war engine.

I view them only as a punitive weapon, they are simply too easy to defend against. If you are hit by a nuke YOU screwed up.

That goes to say if you are able to place a nuke THEY screwed up.

I've heard all kinds of stories through the years about how defense was properly deployed and yet they got through.

I've had many and I do mean MANY people attempt to use nukes or other "special" weapons against me and not once has it happened. If they pop a nuke on a target that is already damaged, you will get a newspaper report that "so and so popped a nuke and target X is seriously damaged", but the nuke did not hit and there will be no casualties from the action.

You need 1 nuclear defense batteries per nukable target and at least one missile for EACH battery to defend
