Friday, July 10, 2009 - 01:56 am  No nuclear weapons for The Grand Duchy of Brandenburg. If the resolution is accepted, the country will be under permanent investigation of the INC. The Resolution was a proposal by Man of Peace with the following motivation: He has proven to be a hostile player and has threatened to use his credit card to make anyone who opposes him pay. He has been given the chance to respond to diplomacy and has only responded with hostility. The Security Counil accepted the proposal. 5 council members voted for the proposal and 1 council member voted against it. General Voting is possible until 3 Sep 2647 57 presidents voted for the resolution and 15 presidents voted against it. You voted against the resolution. WGC is exploiting the security council through a networkf lies they are using their members to blok my only means of defense - during a minor dispute over a corporation bid one of their members overreacted and convinced the others that i was a threat I was attacked by a dozen WGC countries and suffered hundreds of nukes - they continue to harass me nonstop in protection and are buying and moving my corporations constantly and sending me hateful messages around the clock Im no threat and this is merely a continuation of their harassment. The moment they take away my sole means of defense i will be yet again nuked into the ground - this isnt dealing with a minor threat or a bully - ive 3 countries which are seriously damaged - i of which WGC extorted me into paying 50GC to buy back. I was forced to sell my best enterprise at a loss to appease these bullies and yet their harassment continuesdont let them do this to me - you could be next as long as man of peace continues at the security council

| Friday, July 10, 2009 - 04:04 am Dear Gothard43, I look a moment and read through your posts. It appears that you were nuked several times. In fact, just eyeballing it, it appears you had millions dead and wounded from nukes. While I understand and respect the desire to get back at those who nuked you, I am not sure that the ability to purchase nukes would help you much. In order to use a nuke, you'd need to declare war on someone. Thinking this through.... to declare war on WGC, would likely expose your innocent civilian population, from the mothers and fathers, to the children and grandparents, from the factory workers to the teachers to the nurses, to being nuked themsleves. Your second thought may be that you want the nukes incase you do get attacked. This would not help you either. Were you to get attacked, the first thing attacked would be your ability to nuke. Thus, that would not work either. Thinking this through, I don't think the security resolution is going to make all that much difference to you. If you believe that Man of Peace is out to get you, might I suggest challenging him to a 1 on 1 duel? I am sure that WGC would agree not to assist Man of Peace in any way, and would allow you to fight eachother 1 on 1. You could add a stipulation that no nukes be used, and that he only use 1 country to fight you, which would balance this somewhat. I would not advice that, as he would likely win and your civilians would not like that. However, it might make you feel better to go 1 v 1, rather than to have multiple people attack you.

| Friday, July 10, 2009 - 05:03 am Nukes never have been, nor will they every be either a threat or viable defense in Sim Country without changes in the war engine. I view them only as a punitive weapon, they are simply too easy to defend against. If you are hit by a nuke YOU screwed up. That goes to say if you are able to place a nuke THEY screwed up. I've heard all kinds of stories through the years about how defense was properly deployed and yet they got through. I've had many and I do mean MANY people attempt to use nukes or other "special" weapons against me and not once has it happened. If they pop a nuke on a target that is already damaged, you will get a newspaper report that "so and so popped a nuke and target X is seriously damaged", but the nuke did not hit and there will be no casualties from the action. You need 1 nuclear defense batteries per nukable target and at least one missile for EACH battery to defend against a nuke battery or sub nuke or other types of special weapons. You need two nuke defense batteries and TWO missiles per battery to defend against strategic bomber. If you have more batteries than that and not enough missiles to fill them you are at risk. Why anyone would waste the manpower for more than two is beyond me in the first place but I've captured many countries that seem to think more is better. Save your money for stocks of nuke defense missiles and your manpower for weapons to rip thier throat out.
