The New WGC (White Giant)

I was just attacked (every one of my 9 countries) by Iain. I guess WGC has changed their rules. No hostile action required to justify a war on their part.

Update - I wrote WGC and asked why they are attacking me. If it is something I did that offended them, I offered to make peace.

If they just want to wipe me off WG, I made them the offer that I would gladly surrender my countries saving them the easy fight on the sole condition that the countries be provided to new WGC members, who would keep the countries and run them.

All I ask is for a couple days to dismantle my defenses in the 9 countries they attacked, so new players can take them over.

It is futile to fight against the federation that completely controls WG; especially when they so hate me that they attack me in violation of their own rules.

Now it is time to see if the tyrants who run WGC run it completely for themselves, or if they care at-all for the members.

Maybe WGC could offer an explantion in public why they deem it of value to declare on you?
As a strictly econ fed that prides itself on peace for WG,im sure there is a plausible explanation for it.

If you disagree with WGC's current conduct, why would you offer your countries to support new WGC members? In effect, you are giving WGC good reason for their actions by doing this. If you are hellbent on not fighting, why not offer your countries to new players who are not WGC members? Rather than support WGC indirectly by aiding their newbies, you could aid the newbies of another federation. You are giving the money to robbers before they've even had a chance to take it!

Further, why will you not defend yourself? If you have friends in WGC, why don't you ask them to help you out and/or leave WGC? Why don't you form an anti-WGC defensive alliance? In short, why are you rolling over so easily? Make them fight for those countries. Don't just hand them over. If WGC's conduct is unjust, who are you counting on bringing them to justice? Why not take it upon yourself? Show some initiative!

As people who know me knows, I very seldom post on the forum for numerous reasons. But this is one time I'm putting in my 2 cents. I have no idea why WGC is attacking Chrys but to be honest, it doesn't surprise me. I too have given alot of thought of attacking him. My reasons are simple. He is an annoying, long winded, whining little weasel. Thats why he has been dubbed "Crybaby Chrys."(By me) He is one of the biggest reasons why I left WGC some time back. He rants and raves over the smallest things and then whines when it doesn't go his way. Then runs people down in retaliation. Even then, WGC would defend him and his right to voice his opinion. Now, per usual, he wants to run Iain and Jo down because things aren't going his way. IMHO, your getting your just rewards.

Just to be clear, I'm merely commenting on the faulty, spineless logic behind chrysostom's "ultimatum". I have no interest in the situation otherwise.

I've heard now from 2 people in WGC saying that there is nothing on the WGC boards authorizing me to be attacked. Yet, still, 9 countries declared on by Iain...

As to what Brutus said, that makes sense to me. Namely, the "cause" for the war is that I "voice my opinion" as Brutus said.

As to running Iain and Jo down, I must note that Iain did attack me, and Jo is the WGC foreign minister. When I was in WGC, WGC NEVER attacked anyone without first trying diplomacy.

In this case, I was attacked with no warning or diplomacy. I took no agressive action first.

As to why I made my "ultimatum," it is hardly an ultimatum. If WGC wants to eliminate me from WG, they will. I have no means to stop them. I'm not sure of a single player or federation on WG that does.

As usual, Chrysostom is inferring all sorts of reasons behind things that happen, most of which seem to come from his own imagination and are centred around himself.

WGC has not attacked Chrysostom. The declaration of war came from one member who was acting on his own initiative, as a direct result of things that Chrysostom has said about him on this forum, and without Council sanction. WGC will deal with this internally.

If WGC had declared war unilaterally on Chrysostom, he would have received declarations from many more of us than that. However, that logic does not suit Chrysostom's twisted view that WGC is run by "tyrants". He is determined to paint a picture of WGC on this forum, as a corrupt federation which, according to him, has changed in a matter of weeks from being a large group of players who, for years, have supported everyone's peaceful enjoyment of this game to a power-hungry tyrrany that wants to run the

I'm thinking that WGC should ensure a fair one on one fight if they consider themselves to be neutral. Remove Iain from their fed, let them have their fight and when its done let him come back into the WGC. Then everyone's happy.

Thank you for clarifying that it is not WGC attacking me. My appologies for thinking this was WGC approved. I could not imagine why your live-in boyfriend of 17 years, who is high-enough up in WGC to be able to ban someone without consulting anyone else from the WGC forum, and who has been in WGC for longer than I've played Sim Country; would break the WGC rule and attack someone without prior authorization.

Just to correct a couple typos on your part.

1- 4 of the 6 officers elected in the last elections (January) have since left WGC. Those leaving were the: Minister of Defense, The Minister of Recruitment, the Internal Affairs Minister, and the Minister of Economics (me). The only 2 remaining elected ministers are you (foreign minister) and Dale (chair).

Once again, a mixture of half-truths and personal interpretation from Chrysostom.

1) Of the four Officers he mentions, one (MattW) has left the game altogether for personal reasons and two others (one of whom was Brutus) left WGC as Brutus stated above because of Chrysostom, not as an objection to an imaginary change in policy, and remain good friends. The fourth was Chrysostom himself. Since then, WGC has held elections for the vacant postions and all Officers have been elected by the membership, apart from Chrysostom's position which is currently filled by the Deputy HE nominated. The only reason for that is that we have been somewhat busy fighting a war that might have died down if he hadn't escalated it and then run away.

2) There is no contradiction in what I say. Friendship and the inability to play as part of a team are not mutually exclusive. Everyone in the fed knew Chrysostom found it difficul

Can WGC be trusted???

I have to admit I am also concerned with their recent expansion into my neighborhood and feel an attack on my territories may not be far off. Do they stomp all over newer players or is this just a personal grudge you are talking about? I am just a small fish in a big pond, just trying to scratch out some fun in this game. I wouldn't consider being destroyed by a number of experienced players fun, but WGC may prefer to fight that way. I'm not really sure what to expect, time will tell....

There's no reason to worry about anyone in WGC attacking you Gilherme.

WGC is a peaceful federation, Gilherme. The only time the federation goes to war is in response to an attack on our members. Even then, we usually attempt to resolve it with diplomacy before the wars go live.

No player who is here to play the game peacefully and with respect for others has anything to fear from us.
