Anyone in here with experience in the "Buy and Sell shares for your investment fund" feature?

Found at: Settings/Automation/Automatic systems

I can see a lot of my shares are very expensive - should I drop the automatic option and completely drop my Buy&Sell activities?

What is most effortable?

Most players leave the auto buy/sell on, for the most part, investment funds are time consuming, a offer little reward for the time spent.

How ever, do not allow me to completely disenchant you from the IF. Its one of my favorite parts to the game.

I turn it off the auto buy/sell, in my countries. And then IPO my own corps, and pass the shares out to my various countries. My IFs overall gain allot of cash, and eventually become large sources of income.

I use my IFs to buy shares of my public corporations too... well sometimes I do, if I feel like doing the clicking which lately is not too often :S

I would not trust the automation to run my IFs; it doesn't do very well at anything else.

Thanks for the input guys :)

So, its best to turn the automatic system OFF and then take some control of it.

Best

A few times I did turn the automation off and started to do it myself, and I agree with Josias Jorvick...it is time consuming with little reward...but, that's probably because I don't care enough. I just let the automation do it's job. I think it's good that automation isn't great. Gives us an incentive to actually do things, and allows players who do things to do better than those of us who can't be bothered.
