No nuclear weapons for PSA_2_9874.
If the resolution is accepted, the country will be under permanent investigation of the INC.
The Resolution was a proposal by CorporatePartner with the following motivation:
This is a "psycho" country that supports all kinds of abuser (<-I knew his programming was flawed) against many other Empires across many worlds, and should be carefully tracked and monitored on White Giant as well.
The Security Counil accepted the proposal.
3 council members voted for the proposal and 1 council member voted against it.

General Voting is possible until 2 Nov 2899
43 presidents voted for the resolution and 24 presidents voted against it.

Anyone care to explain the history here for the newer active players??

I am new and do not understand this. Can players randomly bann players from doing certain aspects of the game? Seems there would be an appeal process, seeing as bias could come into play. How does this security council work and can anyone join it?

I have no idea what the history is here or the merits of the charge. What I do know is that there are 15 members on the Security Council yet this passed with a mere 3 votes. That kind of setup lends itself to the Council being played by people for their own advantage, and was reason enough for me to vote against it.

The Security Council can't stop a player using nuclear weapons. All they can do, if the vote goes through at both levels, is to send a message to the player concerned that the SC and the majority of players don't think that player should use nukes.

This mirrors the RL UN Security Council, who do a similar thing, and then send in inspectors to the country concerned to see whether they are complying. That, also, clearly doesn't work, as in the cases of N Korea and Iran to name but two.

All votes on the Security Council are passed if a majority of SC members are for the resolution and fewer than 4 are against it.

Players reaching the #1 spot are automatically placed in the HoF and get a place on the Security Council for 5 months. The game then randomly selects other players from among the top-ranking players to make the Security Council up to 15 members. Each of those players is awarded a place on the Security Counci

I do not know Pyscho and I do not know Corporate, but I have read some here on the forums and not much good is said about Corporate. My decision in this vote was not one of who is bad and who is not or who should get revenge on who etc. etc. My vote came down to a country having a right to own nukes period. If the two coutnries were in oposite possitions and it was Psycho asking for the vote on coporate my vote would not have change.

The mirror here of the real UN is so cool some "BOOBS for NUKES" sign will be held by some of my countries over 18 but under 21 bikini swim team members in front of the Sim UN for this resolution. : P

Ok. Foot in mouth. After reading many past threads and history about both parties in this resolution I am SHUTTING UP and BUTTING OUT. Please forgive a noob for Posting. I am sorry. In the future I will know the history of federations and players before even considering posting.

Your unbiased opinion is welcomed and refreshing. Above all things, don't believe the hype.

All of the "war declarations" just sent by "Psycho", exactly as was predicted some time ago, while "Clueless Jo" was wandering and wondering, not to mention complaining and making excuses, along with "agreements" which allowed all of this to happen.
