Certain products that I want to purchase I'm having difficult time with. For example, I want to buy precision bombers, it tells me buy it directly or buy it on a space station. What does buy it directly mean? Directly from whom? Where? And I can't find anything on space stations. I don't even have a space center. Do they even have bombers?
My second question.....lots of my weapons are inactive. It says I have a shortage of officers and personnel. How do I increase my personnel numbers to activate my inactive weapons. Almost 70% of my weapons are inactive. Please help me.

First, precision bombers are no longer traded freely on the open market; you must either manufacture them yourself, or buy them from a space station when they are available. They usually aren't available unless you make a deal with another player to sell you the bombers. Then you have to pay 50 GC per month to do business on a space station, even if you only make 1 or 2 trades per month. Then you must buy shuttles with GC, to freight the bombers from the space station to your home base, which is a space center that you have to construct. This route is definitely not worth it, as you end up spending hundreds of GCs to get maybe a few hundred precision bombers. Unless expense is no object, then by all means do it, at least you will have a bomber squadron...
Direct trade: you can direct-trade between your own countries; produce the bombers in one country and sell them to another. You still have to make the bombers. Bomber corps almost always operate at a loss, and in effect, doubles the market price of the bombers; but you can't buy any bombers for market price anyway, unless you spend the aforementioned load of GC. So it's a moot point, really.
Officer shortage: officers are drawn mostly from medium level managers, and many of the other personnel ("cannon fodder") is from low level workers, mostly. Make sure you have plenty of these, or there won't be enough troops to man the weapons.
Unless you already have a stockpile of bombers (and i guess you don't) it is easier and cheaper to use something else, like mid-range missiles, land-based cruise, or conventional missiles, altho these last 2 suffer from some of the same problems as precision bombers. Land-based forces will work in a c3 war if you use several, and take out the defenses with mid-range missiles from your long range divisions. Then level the target with panzers.
anyone else, correct my errors, if any, and add advice. I'm not a war expert; many of you out there are more well-versed in this field than I.
