It should not be a matter of surprise as to why the UDL got involved.
Before stating this, I would like to retariate that UDL does not run on the will of a particular member.
It's a Democratic Fed, and we regularly have debates regarding the situations and the ideas which suits best for our collective good.
Now, I would say that the UDL was unfortunately dragged into this mess when His Majesty Matthew I put two of his Dominions with in striking distance of our member A.U's territory. ( A self contradictory move on the part of a WGA member)
We made a humble request and we have a forum post for the same.
The reason we were given was that the states were there for deterrence against Lee and to support Amalie on times of hostilities, the reply also mentioned that there were no need of negotiations or discussions with our fed, on this matter,because some members of WGA feels that it's not required.
We the UDL are an independent fed with independent nations, we have the free will to choose our foreign policy and act accordingly.
I don't know what made you think that not informing the UDL about the placement of those dominions will not incur response.
How could you expect us to be compliant to your plans and concerns,if you do not feel to have a basic diplomatic sense of informing or having a basic discussion with us.
And why would we trust you??
@ Majesty Matthew, you would remember that you had written to me your concern about Lee, to which I stated that it will be purely diplomatic and Financial relation.
But Still to instill peace in the WG, to build new relations with your fed WGA, and to have a prevailing peace, we took to council Lee about the deal.
This would solve our problem as well.
The UDL has high respects for the WGA members like Sir Amalie, Sir Union States, Sir Hodg and Sir CCA imperium, they have always approached our problems with humbleness and patience, we are greatful to them.
Sir Amalie and Sir Unionstates even tried to have a negotiations between WGA and UDL by holding a board meet to alleviate our concerned, but Alas! it was stalled.
And Even Now we retariate we have no issues with the current WGA members and would have negotiations to solve all the problems that are threatening peace.
And For the new fed Syndicate, I would humbly request you to move your countries from our Member and Chairman AU's borders,as it is a clear provocative move not expected from Matured and experienced players like Majesty Matthew and Sir EO. |

The UDL can make "humble requests" all it wants, but it doesn't own any continent or planet. I'm not interested in it's opinion on how I play simcountry or run my account. I currently share zero borders with anyone in the UDL.
David's FIRST slave state was placed next to my main on LU, and he's only continued to place his holdings near my friends and cause problems. He built on Lacerta on White Giant RIGHT NEXT TO Amalie, a WGA board member. How many times has there had to have been negotiation between David and WGA regarding this? It's been CONSTANT. This is why there are problems at all. If he hadn't done this, we likely would not be having this conversation, so don't try to blame others for this.
Finally, the UDL currently looks to be 3-4 actual players (several of which have MANY accounts). I'm not sure why there is a sense there that the UDL has the right to make demands at all anyways. Why would players do your bidding? You've made... no friends (except for Lee, which is unfortunate for you) and actively make requests of players you've done nothing for. You've... recruited players out of WGA while they were still in WGA - which is a hostile act. You do not act friendly whatsoever. What reason would someone possibly have of giving up their own plans to give you what you want?
You really need to rethink your diplomatic policies. |

I think you are a bit misinformed. Amalie and David had a pact signed in between them at a personal level. And the pact is still successful.
You know why it didn't make any noise and why it went through easily? Because both of them respected their existance and yeh deal was done.
These is what we call players of character. They inspire us.
I respect you as a Player Sir EO, but I think we both should learn from them.
Moreover you also don't own any continent or world so you should also not dictate about players and their territories as you did to AU. That applies to everyone
Yes, we may be a small fed, as you say, but we have learned to treat every fed as equal be it bigger or smaller than us. In our fed no one is looked down upon or made fun because of their personal views, how much bizarre it may be. Any Fed is built with time, effort, and creativeness of members, we must respect that.
And brother friendship is a 2 way thing, you extend your hand, we extend our hand too, but we didn't get what we call support when we appealed for negotiations, the negotiations were under way but was stalled by you.
And You cannot reason why UDL can make demands, vice versa we cannot reason why You think we will accept all you do,we will act according to your concerns, and why we cannot act on our own.
Respect and Forgiveness are the 2 main attributes. They can make you win a War with out weapons.
And further, you do not represent WGA currently, so I wouldn't have probably care to tell you all this, we only want to talk to the WGA, but I did tell you all this because I have respect for you.

Your chairman literally did the same thing to us. He put a country right near us (Angolan Nation is new and placed in a position to strike us) - see for yourself. But that's fine by you? Open hypocrisy.

If someone named Biff randomly walks up to you that you've never met and starts making "requests" of you, do you just suddenly do what they want? No. This is basically what you feel like right now to me.
Angolan Nation is a "suitable distance" from our countries? Not at all. It is WELL within striking range. "Striking range" is when a country is within distance to shoot weapons at the other party involved. 6 nations away is a completely arbitrary number that has no actual military value. I have no clue why you brought that number up. 12 nations away is equally good as 6. Air and missile range is more than twice the distance than David is from us. His nation is just as much within striking range as any of ours. "Striking distance" has to do with weapon ranges, not some silly number of countries away.
I don't care that he has the country there, I'm just saying, it's hypocritical that you're asking me to remove a country because it's within striking range at the same time your chairman put a country within striking range of us. |

Yes. 3,160 km is well within range.
- Fighter range is 3,500 (which means 3,160 is no problem).
- Bombers, land based cruise, etc have even more range.
David has ZERO reason to have a country there otherwise.
If you tested out the military side of the game more you probably would learn that. I'm sure you might in the future (I recommend). Perhaps David could help you there as he is the chairman and has publicly announced peaceful plans to invest hundreds of trillions in his military (including specifically bomber ammo and fighter ammo).
Achieving peace is a fine goal. Making unjustified requests of others while offering nothing is a bad way to go about that. I really just ask you leave me alone and mind your own business. |

David, I have defended the diplomatic situation of my friends when I was board member of WGA, but I have not harassed you.
When WGA made demands of you, it was because you had just been EVICTED and were OPENLY HOSTILE to us. I can't repeat the things you said because of how bad they are. The demands made of you were ones made by other WGA members. I didn't care about those demands because frankly I didn't see a point in negotiating with you. I supported the request because it was what my federation asked. Federations work well when they act as a team.
My presence on this thread is because I am responding to a request from your federation that I remove one of my countries in return for nothing. THAT is hostile and arrogant. Maybe have a look in the mirror before responding.
