Opinion: Is the Security Council Loosing it's teeth?

Studio: The Security Council or as most call them The "SC" , has recently been in the limelight of discussion.
Questions have arised about the functioning of the SC. Has the SC lost its power? Has the Mandate of the Security Council changed? Or Whether the Members are not willing to make the SC fully functional?

No, these are not asked by the WGDN correspondent, but by the people of White Giant.

Refugees displaced from the Recent SUN - VALHALLA Conflict have expressed their dissatisfaction with the functioning of the SC.
A source , who do not wish to be named states and is quoted " I have lost all I had earned after so much hard work, I have lost my home, my family, my friends, and many people like me have suffered my fate. So what good is the Security Council? They serve the interest of the few, they are responsible for our situation, couldn't they stop the war from happening ( voice crackles)....".

These Questions seems to be valid to certain extent. As per recent data, The Security Council has been active only in providing development aid to countries, While the SC mandate states much more about the responsibilities of the SC.

Time will tell, but the SC must introspect or else it might loose it's teeth

Opinion: An Unusual Silence; Why the Sun Empire did not respond to it's nuke ban?

Studio: The General Voting for the resolution to ban Nukes by Sun has ended with the passing of the resolution. 22 countries voted in favour, while 5 voted against it. Now it's official and the resolution is in effect.

But what baffles the experts is the eerie silence, that the Sun leadership has maintained. The WGDN correspondents have reached out to various people in order to know about how they view it.

A Citizen of Sun, who migrated recently says

<!-Quote-!>Quote:

" The Decision taken by the international community is just but I feel bad for my country, this is all because of the incompetent government and a least concerned monarch we have, he couldn't even voice or respond to this.
The mismanagement that my country is facing is the reason I migrated"<!-/Quote-!>

Diplomatic Experts, when asked about the same, has a totally different view. Mr. Jonathan Hades, Professor of Diplomatic Studies says

<!-Quote-!>Quote:

" This resolution, is a very well formulated, it apparently appears as a death sentence to Sun's nuclear capability, but in reality Sun Empire has other provinces except Sun, which are very capable of hosting and procuring nukes, the SC resolution does not apply on them, this resolution does not effectively reduce the threat of Sun Empire declaring nuclear wars in the future, Hence the Sun Leadership is least concerned"<!-/Quote-!>

WGDN EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW

WGDN has conducted an exclusive interview with His Excellency Mike C, President of Cresent Dawn, We thank His Excellency, Crescent Dawn Authorities and the State Broadcast Service to make this possible, Here are the excerpts of the Interview

Interviewer: First of all, Thank you for giving us your precious time, and making this interview possible.

H.E. Mike C: Greets with a warm smile... Yes you can start the questions,I am in a very busy schedule...smiles

Interviewer: Sure

Interviewer: Crescent Dawn and it's Empire has come a long way, with a Vibrant Economy and a Vibrant Military Force, tell is your success story?

H.E. Mike C:

<!-Quote-!>Quote:

When it comes to the economy it is absolutely essential that corporations are automatically fully upgrading for efficiency and quality. The corporations exist solely for the good of the country, and in order to provide better social services which in turn provide higher profits, it is vital that the net profits from the corporations be transferred to the country through 100% profit sharing. When it comes to military force, a CEO is a presidents best friend. Never-ending contracts of high-quality military products ensure a slow but steady growth of the armed forces.<!-/Quote-!>

Interviewer: What are your future Goals, with respect to Crescent Dawn's increasing influence in the White Giant?

H.E.MikeC:

<!-Quote-!>Quote:

It is up to each leader to decide their Nations path, and Crescent Dawn does not necessarily seek to influence anyones choices. The empire will react to protect its interests when it perceives a threat and if asked may involve itself in actions to protect or enhance the interests of others as well.<!-/Quote-!>

Interviewer: Does the Triple F federation seek expansion and more members, and does it seek a multipolar world?

H.E. Mike C:

<!-Quote-!>Quote:

Triple F is only a small regional fed for mutual protection, not a social club. Should a nearby president who has or is about to achieve war level 3 desire to share defenses I would be open to that possibility. A multipolar world is something we all desire. The military industrial complex employs and feeds my people<!-/Quote-!>

Interviewer: What is your reaction to the recent Nuke ban resolution against SUN, that has been passed by the SC, will it serve it's purpose?

H.E. Mike C:

<!-Quote-!>Quote:

I supported the ban knowing it was futile, but it offered an opportunity for the world to come together to express its outrage at a tyrannical madman. This issue is nowhere near settled as the King will always revert to his hostile nature.<!-/Quote-!>

Interviewer: How do you view your relation with other Federations of White Giant, ie WGA and the Union of Allied states?

H.E Mike C:

<!-Quote-!>Quote:

I currently hold no animosity towards any federation, but it is not unthinkable that one could again create an unfriendly climate. It would not be me of course, I am all about peace and love, etc. I find it admirable that the WGA has offered to protect newer WL3 presidents should they be attacked by a much stronger foe. In my opinion a federation is mandatory for presidents who have or are about to reach WL3, and strongly advised for presidents with an open mind who truly wish to advance their standing in the world.<!-/Quote-!>

Interviewer: What is your message to the countries of White Giant?

H.E. Mike C:

<!-Quote-!>Quote:

Do not be afraid. Declare on a C3 and build your empire. Ask questions and take advise. Suck the profits out of those corporations because they are there for the country, not the other way around. Join a fed, form a fed, or fight a fed. And remember, we area friends even when we are not.<!-/Quote-!>

Interviewer: It was a pleasure your Excellency for conducting an interview with you

H.E.Mike C: Thanks, have a nice day...
