The Crisis has highlighted the loopholes in the management of supply chain of raw materials, and have proved that long term contracts of certain products are needed to tide over such times.

8th General Presidential Election Results

The General Presidential Election results has been declared.
As anticipated, the Nationalist Party of Costa has won again for the 3rd time. The Presidential Candidate for NPC,Dr. Jakaya Simolveres,has won from his seat,with a vote margin of 13000 votes.

The NPC has secured 110 out of 200 seats in the National People's Assembly, hence crossing the majority mark alone.


President Elect Dr. Jakaya will become the first "Black" President to assume office. He is known to be a close friend of outgoing president Mr. Astejas.

Mr.Astejas held office for 2 consecutive terms, and as per the Constitution, cannot run again for presidency.

Political experts believe that the swift government desicions taken by the NPC govt under astejas, has lead to another victory.

The Great Costa Republic protests against the sudden and unjustified statement, that was issued by the Chinese Government on the Republic of Aleta Diplomatic channel.

And with further consideration, the Government of the Great Costa asks the Chinese authorities to refrain from such statements.

The Government has also decided to halt the InterCosta Reconcilation and Reciprocal recognition programme initiated by the Great Costa Government.

Press Release: Great Costa Republic request de-escalation of tensions between Union States and China

As a Responsible Country of the White Giant world, President Jakaya would like to request Union States and People's Republic of China to de escalate tensions.

As per as the Costan issue is concerned, The Great Costa Republic believes that differences can be settled through dialogue and mutual understanding.

We understand and respect the stand taken by China, but as we have seen, there are no takers of this anti democratic policy, neither we have seen any reaction from the Republic of Costa.

Press Release: Response to Trade restrictions imposed by China

The Great Costa Republic is quite confused regarding the stance taken by the Chinese authorities.
China's official stance of not recognising our republic and then imposing trade ban are perceived to be the two contradictory steps taken by China.

The Great Costa Republic is unable to understand that if China does not recognise the Great Republic, how can there be an established trade relations between the two nations?, especially when there are no intergovernmental agreements in place.

Nevertheless, the Great Costa Republic assures that there are no such agreements in place and neither we have established trade relations with China. Hence this ban will not be more than publicity stunt.

The Great Costa believes in free flow of trade and supply and will not immaturely impose a counter trade ban on China.

National Election Commission sounds poll bugle, Preparation for 9th Presidential Election to start

The National Election Commission has asked the national parties to prepare for the 9th Presidential Elections which is scheduled to be held with in 6 months.

Confirmed reports have emerged that Mr. Jakaya will re run for the presidential post and will be the candidate on behalf of Nationalist party of Costa.

The Forward Party candidate Mrs Riva Corleone is predicted to give a stiff competition and may be the front runner, if the odds are in her favour.

The Prospects do not look so promising for the Democratic Republic Party(DRP) due to internal strife within the party circles.

The Peoples Party of Costa, has selected Mr. Leon Constantine as their candidate for the election, the youngest of all candidates, Mr. Leon has been a critic of Mr. Jakaya's handling of the foreign policy.

President Jakaya,is poised to address the National People's Assembly during the beginning of the summer session, and will present two important bills catering to enhance the cooperation between Union States and Great Costa Republic.

The First bill will be historic as it will allow Union States to have military presence in the Costan Region. If the bill is passed, it will allow Union States to harbour, use and utilize the Great Costan Military facilities.


The Second Bill will be a significant bill, regarding peaceful resolution of the Costan issue with the Union States as the mediator.This bill will also appeal to the other members of the White Giant Alliance to consider this issue, and actively

The Election Results are out, and for the first time in history, neither party have crossed the majority mark of 100 seats in the National Peoples Assembly.

The Parties and the seats are as follows:
1. Nationalist Party Of Costa: 70 seats
2. Forward Party: 54 seats
3. Democratic Republic Party:40 seats
4. Peoples Party Of Costa: 33 seats
5. Independent: 3 seats

The National Election Commission has given a deadline to the parties to form government with in 1 month.
Political experts are excited as this is the first time 2 or more parties have to form coalition, in order to form a government.

In a recent presidential address, President Jakaya has expressed his intention to resign from his post, citing a series of health problems due to his age.
After having a long tenure of 40 game years as president, he has decided to hand over the responsibility to his junior colleague from the Nationalist Party, Mr.Antonios Caponez.

National People's Assembly issues joint statement on the current situation of the State of Marcos; Foreign Secretary reveals shocking facts to the National Assembly

The National People's Assembly of the Great Republic of Costa has issued a joint statement expressing concern about the situation that has developed in the State of Marcos.

The Joint statement states and condemns the "act of conspiracy" to de stabilize the Marcos Government but also criticizes the "unnecessary strict action" that the Marcos Government has taken.

Mr. Leon Constantine,The Leader of one of the opposition parties of Costa called People's Party,has futher stated the being a leader of a party with a Communist ideology, he understands the pain of the opposition parties of the State of Marcos.

Foreign Ministry issues travel advisory for Costan Citizens, DGCA issues diversion order to Areas Costa and Other Costan Civil aircrafts

The Foreign Ministry has issued a travel advisory for Costan Citizens which instructs travellers to avoid travelling to the State of Marcos. The Travel advisory states
"With the recent deterioration of situation in the State of Marcos, the Citizens of Costa are advised against travelling to Marcos, we also request the citizens to cancel any plans of transit through the State of Marcos, until the situation is normalised"

The DGCA ( Directorate General of Civil Aviation ) has also issued an order instructing north bound "Areas Costa" and other Costan Civilian flights to avoid the Marcos airspace.

The Majority of of the National Assembly has voted down the resolution, presented by the Peoples Party. The resolution stated and requested the provision for providing safe refuge for the people fleeing Marcos.

"This is not in the best interest of our Republic" said Prez Caponez, he added that the Marcos Govt. has already agreed to hold Peace Talks with the Opposition, and that the Political fraternity of Costa must support it.

Vice President Riva Corleone Inaugurates National Defense Academy and Tri Service Strategic Command; " a big push for the military" says experts


Vice President Riva Corleone, who is the Deputy Supreme Commander of the Great Costa Armed Forces, has inaugurated the National Defense Academy and the Tri service Strategic Command.

"This Institute will impart the correct training and discipline to our budding warriors, we cannot compromise on our national security and also we would never think of any compromise on the honor of our armed forces" said the Vice President.

The Academy will have the capacity to train and mentor 2000 trainees per batch. An aspirant will have to crack the entrance exam, and will undergo training for 3.5 yrs in order to become a full fledged Rank II Officer (Captain Major).

Dark times for Great Costa: Government declares Economic emergency, corporations dealing with shortages in every sector

The Government has declared an economic emergency due to the current situation of the White Giant Global Economy. The Corporations are facing shortages in every sector, mainly the supplies of Minerals and basic industries are hit. Electric supply has been a major problem.
The Government has assured that all the stake holders, Ceos, as well as the Finance and labour ministry are tirelessly working to find out a solution.
The Government has declared a phase 1 capital bail out package of 600B for distressed corporations in order to buy essential materials for its smooth functioning.

President Antonios has also revealed that we must have to go out of our regular thinking in order to bring back order to the Economy.

Chinese Yuan becomes a legal tender in Great Costa;finance ministry also assures smooth functioning of Chinese Companies.

In an unexpected move, the Government has declared the Chinese Yuan as a legal tender in the Great Costa Republic, it has become the second foreign currency after US dollar to have been granted this status.

As per the regulations , the Chinese Yuan can be used only for transactions not above 10000SC$.

The Finance Ministry has also stated that the Chinese Companies in Great Costa can operate freely with in the regulatory framework of the Costan Market.

"It would be immature to bring our differences in our business and market, the Great Costa believes that every foreign company should have equal rights, we are also trying to make the environment conducive for talks with our Chinese Counterparts in order bridge our trust deficit" said the Finance Secretary.

10th Presidential Election; Parties prepare for showdown

The 10th Presidential Election is around the corner and the Parties are busy campaigning and Preparing for the ultimate showdown.

The Nationalist Party of Costa has chosen the current President Mr. Caponez as the candidate.

The Forward Party has made it clear that that they will support the nationalist party candidate and would continue to be in the coalition with the Nationalists.

The Democratic Republic Party has chosen Mr. Lucas Antonio as the Candidate amid allegations by the People's Party, that Mr. Antonio has been involved with the Mafioso and Organised crime.
The DRP has declared such allegations as baseless.

The People's Party has chosen Mr.Leon Constantine as the Candidate. Though his previous electoral record was poor, the party believes he is the one who can speak and fight for the poor.

10th Presidential Election Results: DRP secures majority by winning 145 seats in the National Assembly, ends 5 term domination by the Nationalists


The DRP has secured a landslide victory in the 10th presidentials winning 145 among 200 seats in the Assembly.
The Nationalists come at a distant second with 30 seats.
The Forward Party and the People's Party share the spoils,with 15 and 10 seats respectively.

The President Elect Mr. Lucas Antonio, has been known to have a charismatic personality, he has worked in the External Intelligence Agency of Great Costa namely the NATIONAL SECURITY AND OPERATIVE RESEARCH (NSOR).
The People's Party leadership has alleged him to be working with the Mafioso, but failed to buy interest of the people to this unproven conspiracy.

Great Costa Welcomes China's move to maintain stability in the Costan Region;sends invitation to China for establishing their first embassy in the country


The Great Costa Government welcomes the step taken by China to stabilise the Costan Region. The foreign secretary in his statement said "We were at odds, but we never saw china as an adversary"

The Government has decided to send a formal invitation to Chinese Diplomats in order to establish their first embassy in Nova Alsace.

The Government of Great Costa also wants China to be a partner in reconciliation programme between the two Costas.

The Great Costa's proposal for reconciliation includes the Formation of Costan Union as a federation, it follows the motto of " One Union two Governments".

Great Costa Ratifies the WG Charter in the National Peoples Assembly, urges peace and cooperation in the Pegersus Region

The Great Costa has ratified the new WG Charter in the National Peoples Assembly with only 16 votes against the ratification.
President Lucas highlighted the importance of the charter in order to establish increased communication among the nations, and an important step forward to resolve issues peacefully.

"Pegersus has a dense amount of territories that are part of WL3 empires, and hence a volatile region in terms of a possible future military conflicts, The Great Costa would like to draw the valuable attention of the new security council and propose an idea for a common regional peace pact or declaration for the Pegersus region, so that the problems in this region can be solved through a defined protocol and we can avert war." the President Said.

Governor Elections for Governorate of Cortesa; President Lucas passes executive order to form Autonomous State Assembly

The National Election Commission has declared the Governor Elections for the Governorate of Cortesa, 4 regional Parties have registered with the commission for the election.

The Cortesa Liberal Front, has elected Mr. Derrogio Changretta as the candidate.

Cortesa Revolutionary Congress, has elected Mr. Giovanni Velas, as their choice for the election


Alternative Party has chosen Mr. Helmuth Stern as their candidate


Democratic Cortesa has chosen Mrs Lily Ferroe as their candidate.


After the annexation, Cortesa has been granted a status of Autonomy by the National Peoples Assembly. The Governorate of Cortesa will have freedom of operation in everything except Defense and Foreign Policy.

Mr. Changretta Wins Landslide Victory in the Governor Elections, will be sworn in as 1st Governor of Cortesa


With the Cortesa Liberal Front winning in 65 seats in a 100 seat Cortesa state assembly, Mr. Changretta is scheduled to become the 1st Governor of Cortesa.
Mr. Changretta was one of the faces of resistance against the Authoritarian Carmen Government.
