Is there any way to cut military expenses other than by destroying units? I went a little crazy increasing my defensive military and I have deactivated all my units that are in stock, but I have thousands that are in my bases and fortifications. I would hate to just destroy them, but the cost is killing me.

One way is to deactivate them. You keep them but they cost no monthly expense.

Thanks Trebor. I guess I just need to be patient for my garrisons to slim down. I definitely got way too big but I was having fun for a while...

Trebor, You are correct that to reduce your monthly military cost you deactivate the units. It still cost you about 1/4 the cost to maintain the units while they are inactive.

I'll buy any that you dont deactivate.
Send some to Barger, and I'll accept.

Thanks for the correction. I didn't know that.
