I am asking to have a meeting of all key figures on GR (you know who you are) to convene and form a discussion group for the betterment of Golden Rainbow. A real Security Council that does more than give 5t away...1 that will address the real issues on GR: peace, security, and the economics of GR.

Contact me at the people republic of abeZart
And / or list your main country below.

We need to have a meeting ASAP. 1st issue is a war that is brewing between the Agency and the remainder of the AF...this could easily turn into a world war. I personally have been trying to diffuse the situation and at this point I think it's advisable to get all involved and any key figures together and talk this out.

A world Security Council would be a great opportunity to secure peace and prosperity on Golden Rainbow as well as getting people working together.

Issues like the war between the mentioned above can be discussed and worked out through diplomatic means.

I don't consider myself a "key member", but I certainly support having the Security council more involved in avoiding wars, and making the game better for all players.

It's been done before, there was a fed on GR called the United Nations, which had representatives from all the major presidents playing at the time, However pretty much all of them were AF before the time the 12 monkeys came to GR. I will offer whatever support is required.

This is a good turn out so far...thanks to all so far that have posted! :)

This UN type organization could become many things and run many ways...would just like to get a dialog going to aide in the healthy development of GR for starters and to promote friendship between Feds. A Federation is an interesting idea. A forum is another possibility. MSN chats are also ok...leaning towards a forum. I hadn't really thought it would be an actual army or federation, but all are good ideas and will be shaped by all involved...so keep signing on or suggesting ideas.

Membership would be open to all...and the key figures statement was just aimed at getting some of the many sim vets together to discuss a recent event, which seems to heading in a positive direction.

I'll join. I can stir up a lot of crap without even firing a shot at anyone. My country I would want in the World Security Council is Nicola South.

It seems to me that now would be a great time to get this security council up and running. Several of the people who have posted to this thread have now declared war on each other.

Lets try to work things out before we have a big mess on GR

I'm new to sim but am addicted, and with growing understanding wish to become more involved with the world around me. I would appreciate the oppurtunity to learn answers to many a question I would have for any such Council. If for peace this council was its goal. How would it provide security? So, If I may join the discusion just to hear what is said. I would be greatly honored.

We tried a UN on WG a year or more ago. It didn't work :( The players involved didn't all share the same approach to the game.

That's why the fed structure works much better. Those who wish to group together have a choice of different feds and they gravitate towards the fed the best fits their own ethos of playing. A single UN will never suit everyone.

Perhaps that is the problem with the real world ...

Hugs and respect
