UC/GREF Peace Treaty--Official Declaration (Golden Rainbow)

After long and careful consideration and many violation of the UC/GREF peace treaty by Wendy and possibly others in UC and maybe some in GREF, I asked UC members for a vote to cancel the treaty. A majority of UC members voted to cancel the treaty and many asked for work to begin on negotiating a new treaty. This is to inform you and members of GREF that we in UC will consider the treaty void after the required time period called for by the treaty.

Not exactly, We did not cancel the treaty to declare war. The treaty as it stood had very little validity. Another treaty should be renegotiated that actually means something. Kind of like renewing our vows. Isn't that sweet?

I have spoken to Diz about this and he assured that the intention is to design a stronger and more meaningful treaty. I strongly support the peace between GREF and UC and would be willing to fight against members of either side if the current treaty is violated or there is aggressive actions taken which compromise the peace negotiations going forward. I have friends in both UC and GREF and as you all know I am not one who opposes war, however it seems to me that the leadership of both federations are interested in peace and I'd like to do what I can to support those leaders.

I and others in UC wish to negotiate a more meaningful treaty. I will act or accept a member from UC to negotiate the terms and will look forward to Abe to act as negotiator for GREF or to get a volunteer from GREF to be negotiator.

John L our Chairman, has expressed confidence in me being the negotiator for The United Confederation. I know we have come to deadlocks before and I am known for being a tough negotiator, but I promise to be fair and practical. Reasonable above all else. I look forward to continuing a peace arrangement between The United Confederation and GREF.

If GREF would like to name a negotiator from their federation I would be more than happy to start the proceedings. I'll be available for chat most of the day. Also hope to see Zebz as negotiator, it will give us a chance to mend some differences.

Here is the latest version of the Treaty that I have reworked...hopefully this is the final draft:

1. The Term of the peace treaty shall last no less than 100 game years. After which time, it may be canceled, continued, or renegotiated for different terms.

2. War Declarations are considered a violation of the Treaty and the violator will get expelled from their Federation if the opposing Federation requests it. This is not automatic, but is mandatory for both chairmen of each federation to uphold upon request of the opposing federation.

3. In the case of a Federation member leaving their Federation in order to Declare War, then that member is barred from rejoining the original Federation and the opposing Federation (UC and GREF). This is automatic and neither fed will make any change or disregard this provision.

hmmmmm...soooooo what's up UC? I haven't heard a peep and you guys were the ones that asked for a peace treaty? We in GREF agree in principle with this, but we haven't ratified this treaty yet and are still waiting for your response to go ahead with a vote.

BTW...we had a Mutual Defense Pact with TGC at 1 point.
