I remember in recent history when you spoke of pandoras box and karma. I see it has found you once again!
I'm with JF on this 1. You are always flappin your piehole. On several occsions you've threatened me personally, tellin me how your gonna de-pop me and such...and that you'll fire at will. You think folks are gonna stand back and take it? HA! Lemme telll ya somethin dude, your not scary anymore. Your about as hollow and fake as anyone can be. At 1 time I thought you had the skills to back up that mouth of yours but after the Great War I and the rest of SC know that YOU are the coward. The AF woulda done much better had the BIG BAD MARINE stepped up and defended them. Hell, alot of your Fed DEPENDED on you. Nope, for the most part you hid in protecto and let countries fall. 894. ART. 94. MUTINY OR SEDITION

Any person subject to this chapter who compels or attempts to compel the commander of any place, vessel, aircraft, or military property, or of any body of members of the armed forces, to give it up to an enemy or to abandon it, or who strikes the colors or flag to any enemy without proper authority, shall be punished by death or such other punishment as a court-martial may direct.
904. ART. 104. AIDING THE ENEMY
Any person who--
(1) aids, or attempts to aid, the enemy with arms, ammunition, supplies, money, or other things; or
(2) without proper authority, knowingly harbors or [protects or gives intelligence to or communicates or corresponds with or holds any intercourse with the enemy, either directly or indirectly;

Today I left GR. I posted my reasons to the AF CM. Foremost among these is AF wont fight for its members. The issue of whether UC is right or wrong is moot as long as the members of UC follow appeasement. I also figure there is enough firepower on GR now to deal with the issues and people there and will now go back to my orignal intent. Although i never recieved a message on the sale of my country there I understand someone did not want that sale to go through. Since I did not recieve the message yet I am being told it was sent (disinformation for the faithful I guess), I will have to respond to it here! Oh gee I think I will let the sale speak for me.
Now AF! Your federation failed to support its leadership! Your federation then turned on that leadership! Your federation or a few members in it saw fit to appease the agressors to your federation! Of course this does not go for all the members of the AF but enough to have gotten away with it. The coup caused confussion at a time when clarity was needed, and it was nothing less than a coup, treason by any other name. The motives behind all this were personal survivability, this is not the mark of a leader. The appeasement of enemies is not the road to peace but to subjection. Leadership is also about a persons word, keeping it is first and foremost, not last and who gives a crap! I wonder how much some people got for making peace with UC and why UC wanted peace so badly at the time they did! Each person has to ask and answer those questions, some have, others havent bothered and never will. It will be interesting to watch things as they now unfold on GR. |

I just want to make sure the that this error is not believed because it was NOT the United Confederation who was asking for peace or even for a cease fire but it was the AF and the offworlders who were beat up and wanting to be granted peace. I was very much ready to continue to pummel the AF and the offworlders who had tried to bring it on. There were meetings of peace delegations from both sides and the treaty was hammered out and agreed upon. So yes there is an agreement of peace between The United Confederation Golden Rainbow and the Allied Forces Golden Rainbow. Pay special attention to the Article II>

On this date and time both AF(def, myself, saber, sam houston) and UC(priest, cross and JF) have agreed, in spirit, to a cease fire. All other combatants, on both sides, will be brought up to speed in the next 1-2 days.
As each member learns of this cease fire, they will agree to initiate no further declarations.
There are currently numerous small active wars ongoing. Given the fog of war, neither party should consider it an overt act of disregard for this cease fire if shot are fired. Time is simply needed for this to filter down through the ranks.
More to come.
As a show of good faith I will be un-protecting fire bastion and preparing it for return to John Fire.
This is my own personal act and is not meant to indicate that others should follow suit. Its just the way I play.
I will be dereging over the next week down to a leader nation only.

Introduction
In the interest of preserving peace, the United Confederation and Allied Forces on Golden Rainbow agree to abide by the following terms:
Article I.
Both Allied Forces and the United Confederation agree not to attack each other or allow any of their member's to attack each other. Should any member attack the other federation, both federations are obligated to declare war on this member. Should any member decide to leave either federation and attack the other federation, both federations are obligated to attack this member. Both sides agree that hostile acts such as boycotts, uninvited bidding on private and state corporations and anti-nuclear security council resolutions will not be tolerated and will be viewed as an attack. This shall be applied to all current and future members of both the United Confederation and Allied Forces.
Article II.
Allied Forces Acknowledges that they requested a ceasefire from the United Confederation.
Article III.
Allied Forces agrees to freeze expansion on Paova Major and the region of North Franklin on Centura Donna. This means no new countries may be brought under the AF banner in these regions. The United Confederation agrees to freeze expansion on Hercula Major. This means no new countries may be brought under the UC banner on this continent.
Article IV.
This treaty will be posted on the Simcountry Golden Rainbow Forum under the title "The Treaty of the Great War" and will be publicly signed by the agreed upon representatives of the UC and AF. After which, the treaty will come into full effect.
Article V.
This treaty may be renegotiated at any time if both sides agree to renegotiate it. Any percieved violation must be discussed between representatives of the United Confederation and Allied Forces for a 72 hour period before any action will be taken.
Finally as far as Mr. Ameche goes he had left the Allied Forces and will be attacked any time he is mouthing off to Pope John Fire. In fact one of the biggest factors that caused me to go to war with AF in the first place was the way that Mr. Ameche was so disrespectful towards myself and others in in this game. So I must applaud John L if he did indeed plan to overthrow Mr. Ameche. I shall not debate whether John L had planned such an action nor if such an action is either right or wrong. But if that was the case then perhaps John L. can be called a true patriot as can be seen in this quote >

To start, my issues are with AF leadership and not UC. That should be clear. I have found respect for the players of UC and they are always fair in their dealings with me. I have learned that not all in AF were open and fair when it came to internal matters, however. My displeasure lies there.
I think that both feds have a smattering of "talkers/stokers" and "quiet diplomatic" types.
Were the diplomatic types plotting to kill the talkers, in the "UC," whose words and actions were perhaps perpetuating the war and costing assets? Somehow I doubt it.
Ive been playing long enough to know there are appropriate ways to usurp power within a fed. There are appropriate ways to make a statement that "I have had enough of this war." Plotting to kill the chair, during war, because he cursed or was perhaps angry and verbose about the environment at that time, cant possibly be right.
Some players in AF openly stated during the war they have had enough and went into protection. They cant be faulted. They spoke up openly and stated they were done. Others, apparently, appeared to be less open.
If AF felt that def was responsible for this war, and that AF was better off without him as chair, he should have been removed from the chair position via an open vote and discussion, and the future of the war direction should have been discussed at that point. AF, as a whole, allowed myself and others to set up and ready for war, in order to save their asses. Defcon was always clear and honest. Angry people usually are clear and honest. They cant help themselves.
Frankly I have sense there was some high level back door dealing going on with AF and UC concerning defcons head while AF leadership was counting on "the outsiders" to regain some ground for them. My main reason for being there was defcon not AF. That is a big issue for me. I come in to defend him primarily and AF secondarily, while AF is back door dealing his ass to the enemy. The very person Im trying to save was being given up while AF used our ability stop the main thrust.
This whole discussion speaks to the idea of actually "giving a shit about this game" which I dont.

Well I could always ask for "fee" for my and others services.
