Q about building space centers (Little Upsilon)

Is there an economic benefit to building a space center in your country that doesn't conduct any actual trading?

I've notice some countries building multiple cemters they don't seem to use. I'm wondering if I'm missing something.

I like to have one in each of my countries just in case I need to transport stuff quickly. I think the storage capacity is unlimited so can't say there is any benefit to multiples in the same country.
