Corporation Question regarding efficiency

As a corporation becomes older, its efficiency will automatically decline. It declines by 1 point each 8 to 10 game months but this interval may change in the future. That’s what it says in the documentation. What’s the age when that starts and do we get notified when it reaches maturity. And at what level does this drop to. Also if we used gold coins to level up a Corp does this effect efficiency declines by age.

The way the documentation is phrased on this issue is somewhat misleading. The age of the Corporation is not a factor in the decline of upgrades.

What they are trying to say, is that Quality and Efficiency Upgrades decline steadily over time, and have to be repurchased. Most players handle this by allowing automatic purchase of upgrades for corps, so they automatically maintain maximum upgrade levels. The Improved profits from these upgrades more than cover the cost of maintaining the upgrade levels.
