I have voted against aid for the country of Adelson. This country is under the control of an experienced president, who has a 22 country empire. Therefore, he does not meet the aid conditions.

Once this proposal gets to general voting, I will vote no again.

I too voted against this proposal. No offense to Warren Buffet who runs the country but it's part of a 22 nation empire and he's not a new player. He's more than capable of fixing his own financial situations without aid from the SC.

Makes me wonder about the security council. This isn't the first time this has happened.

I propose we vote for new council!

I am disappointed this even made it to general voting. I always vote for these proposals because I know the criteria that the council uses to determine who needs the aid. When the council doesn't use that criteria, it throws off players like me who assume they followed their own rules. I just happened to click on the country name instead of the other link and saw the country is part of a 22 nation empire.

Council: Please don't pass proposals that don't meet the criteria that you have established. Thanks!

Please keep in mind that the criteria listed in the security council thread is not set in stone and not all council members agreed to it. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if some council members are even completely unaware of it. Obviously, Martock and I are the members that carefully follow those conditions.

Also, I would like to add that I have never been silent as a blatantly bad proposal goes through. I vote against it, in council and general voting, and I publicly detail my reasons in a forum post. Beyond that, I think the situation is out of my control.

EDIT: Let me add that currently in general voting, the proposal for the 22-country empire is failing and a proposal for a new player who meets the conditions is passing. So maybe there is some justice after all :). I thank LU for being vigilante!
