I'm back on the Security Council again. Any country that would like me to put forth an aid package please read the conditiosn below. I would like to request that other SC members put forth requests for aid for players and please update this thread if you do so.
Any country requesting aid needs to the following conditions:
1) Remove the secrecy for their Financial Index and Strategic Force Index. - Reasoning here is simple, if you have nukes you should already have a decent economy in place to maintain them. Also, I'd like to make sure that you're not going into debt buy constantly buying up weapons. I don't want to support your wet dreams of global proportions.
2) Dismantle any plutonium mines, weapons grade uranium corps, and strategic weapons corps. Of the strategic weapons corps, I will limit this to nuke missiles, nuke sub missiles, tactical nukes, chemical missiles, and strategic bombs. You can produce all the nuke subs, strategic bombers and various weapon launchers you want.
3) Relatively new player - To be this means you're country has been under your control for less than 100 game years. It's basically my way of saying that I won't be giving out aid to vets and I define 'Vets' as those players who've been around for 100+ game years.
I'm putting these conditions forth as I don't feel like supporting nutters out there with global ambitions or nuke fetishes. My offer is open to any and ALL who ask (except vets). I will not promise that the resolution will be accepted just that it will be put forth. "The Security Council has 626.19T SC$ in cash." I'd like to see that number drop but really that's up to the community.

Maybe a title like "$$$$ FREE CASH fer NUBZ $$$$" might get more hits. "security council aid request VIII" sounds like a boring committee asking for players to donate to the same thing for the eighth time. Bankrupt players do not have any aid to send. |

Perhaps but it's worked quite well in the past sheep. Players, bankrupt or not, don't pay aid to new players as the money comes from the council. Perhaps I'll recreate this thread at a later date with a 'flashier' title. |

Well I was geting the hang of fighting a C3 with the war system and was going to ask for money. I am not going to buy anymore weapons soon. Could I get some aid for my main country so that I can increase its industrial might? |

If you failed to take a CCC no one will be worried even if you do buy weapons.

I think the biggest difference is that non-paying members can't see the forums. I couldn't get to them without logging in. Once someone is buying gc he/she will probably nuke the debt. |

True non paying members can't see the forums but I'm kinda suprised that I've had NO requests whatsoever. In the past, they came by the buttload and it was difficult at times to keep up. Makes me wonder just how many new players we get on LU in a given week. |

It might also be anti-multi activity from the GM.
They might also try to route new players to the other planets.
No reason to think either is happening. Both are possible.
You might consider pumping out aid to the top 100 players. The in game message calling for votes would work as advertising for the thread. |

Use a more convincing message to get people to vote yes. Most people just see that the aid is given to seemingly okay faring players. Maybe saying that the money is really not going anywhere. |

I think we should try to do aid in larger denominations.
The current vote for 2T is going to a country with over 30T in debt. 44T if you include his slave. We could cut debt in half or raise players debt to -10T. 5T should be a minimum IMO. |

5T I believe is the maximum amount...not sure as I've never done one for more than that. I've always set my offers at 5T and I recall being told it couldn't go higher than that.

To sum up my current situation
My friend(Who i brought in to help me take 2 C3's and no more than that) is owning me. After he built a moderately sized navy i RACED to catch up with him military wise and built thousands and thousands of artillery/heavy tanks/navy fighters/helicoptors.
After he lost his first war against a C3 he rebuilt his economy in less than 10 hours and is now much more powerful than me. I won my war but was unable to produce the desired result of strengthening my economy to a high level thus being able to reach level 2 quickly.
After destroying the army i find im still short of workers,so i nationalized corporations and increased taxes and then spent a couple billion to strengthen the weak education system.
I ask for an aid package of no less than 3 trillion to further strengthen my education system and so i can import workers.
How do you bring workers in actually?

Hiimad - Some suggestions here
1) Nationalizing corps, especially those that belong to players - BAD idea. That may anger them into doing harm to you.
2) Raising taxes may seem like a good idea till it chases CEO's out of your country.
3) You should consider worker exchanges with others to help alleviate your situation.

Thanks so much for the aid. With the loans i gave out i now have 10T in cash to invest and tons of workers to get corps going.
What corps should i start up?I want "Impact" corps that make me money. I did have a gold one going for a while but the earthquake made me close it.
Also can i get some advice on what to do with the C3 i conquered? I just paid off two of its loans,its now only 280B in debt(thats not a problem,i have plenty of money over the next few days to work with with that country) and thankfully my auto loans were smart and made them long term ones knowing the country was in deep trouble because i bombed the hell out of the good corps.(This is the Independent State of Roxan just for clarification)
Also,are Aircraft Carrier corps good ones?
If not,what corps should i build?

Hiimad: they're very expensive corps to run, and wont make you much money for a very very long time, if ever. Better to build a different type of corp with very high shortage (meaning there's very high demand). |
