Ok. I'm still a newb at only about a month of playing, but for some reason virtually all of my state corps, using the same trade strategies as I have been, with individual tweaks as markets prevailed now and then, have all been comming up short on supplies.

I've gotten these strategies from looking at other successful state owned and private firms, but all of a sudden, I've crashed.

Furthermore, it seems some of my corps have started putting things in stock and not offering them on the market. I don't know why this is happening?

I have noticed that the oil market has softened recently, and that new product categories are still in short supply, but this broad scale meltdown is still a mystery to me. Even FMU's and Services are comming up short. I know they are still in high demand, but they were always stocked in my corps in the past.

Further still, the private corps in my country seem just fine.

I've also recently purchased population, but don't know if that has any unforseen effects, other than filling up my employment ranks. I had many corps which were operating at only 12% employment for a while, but even the corps which were at full employment from the begining are suffering from this supply shock setback.

Was wondering if this was a worldwide recession effect? Any help in understanding is appreciated.

What you are most likely seeing is a natural cycle...I haven't noticed any major issues in any state, private or public corps. What are your supply purchasing strategies set at? (include quality as well)

I had purchases set at about 92% and 9% up each month.

I changed them to 102% and 8% each month, now still every single corp is haveing a shortage. Something is very very wrong.

I had quality varying, but between 100 and 140 on all crops. Most were at 100.

Double check your automation settings page Berand. I think something is wrong there. Make sure that the boxes are checked to automatically order supplies. I've noticed that most of your corporations are sitting with many months of production not being offered on the market (ie: your services corp has 46M units in stock), so double check that too.

Thanks for checking.

I also noticed the stock, and haven't figured out why they are acumulating and not selling.

I have started manually buying supplies and selling, but that, as you can imagine, will significantly lessen my enjoyment of the game.

I hope I can find some fix to this soon.

I have the same problem in my main. For the last real life week, it hasn't auto-purchased a single supply. I've had to manually order every supply, else production grinds to a halt. My automation settings are set to purchase the supplies required. It's not a question of me trying to purchase supplies too cheaply. They aren't being requisitioned at all.

Did you go to the page and check the automation settings though? I'm talking about the checkboxes at the bottom, not your sales strategies. If they are all checked, try this:
uncheck them, click change settings, then check them, and do change settings again... sometimes it gets messed up

I have seen alot of my corps fail, I thought it was due to natural cycles, but most corps were industry corps and in demand or small surplus. About 20 corps have tanked and closed. I let them die so I can replace them with better corps becuase my education index is so high I need dumb people.

December was a rough on a lot of traditionally strong corps - especially high techs, but they are coming back.

Oil will take awhile because Wild has built her whole economy on them on LU. But that too will work out.

I also have had the same problem. I have not changed one thing in the last week, but my corps are no longer auto ordering. I am an experienced player, but the supplies that are not being ordered are available. So I have to go in manually everyday and order these products. I see I am not the only person who is having the problem.

My corps are also not even selling their stock. They are accumulating mass amounts of products. I'm having to sell them manually as well. I'll give it one more day then email the Game master.

The only rough cycle I have noticed is probably Oil and FMU. FMU at one point dropped to what 1.20M-1.40M? That tanked many corps. Oil, on the other hand has been in the green for a relatively long time. I remember reading in Wildeyes guide, the ideal # amount of corps for oil is about 3500-3800. Right now that number is well over 4000 (4200+ I believe). Everything will come around though, it always does.

Ok.

No corps are running still at 112% and 10% up on supply buying. I still have shortages in more than just FMU and Chemicals which is perennially in the red. For some reason even Electic (not Electronic) Comps are not being bought.

Not sure what to say here. I manually buy 10 months of supply for the things that are short, and the next month, a whole new set of supplies are not bought.

Why aren't the private corps affected? My CEO is just fine. The other private corps in the country are fine.

This is extremely frustrating, when there seems to be no explanation.

Did you check your automation settings? You never said that you did so I can't be sure.

Note that I am talking about clicking on "automatic systems" and then going down to the bottom under "product purchasing" and "product sales" - make sure all of these boxes are checked. If they are already checked, uncheck them, save parameters, check them again, then save again. It has to be that. I'm serious. I have a lot of corporations between my two enterprises and five countries and none of them are experiencing any issues whatsoever.

While I can't speak for Berand or Prince, it isn't that for me. I believe I do know how to run a country. I've done that before (more than once). For over a week, I hadn't had a single supply ordered by my main. Suddenly, they started ordering again today.

Ok.

Checked this automation screen. Last month I checked all the boxes -- individually since there is no global check -- on the supply side. The next month, the corps ordered, but didn't sell.

Now I have checked, individually again, the product sales. Lets hope that fixes the stock problem.

Do I now have to also check, Salaries, Hiring, Quality Upgrade, and all the other things that used to update/adjust automatically in this new screen which I hadn't seen before?

What happend that these things seemed to Stop happening, all of a sudden, when they were just fine before?

Why is there no global button to automate all of these things in all corps? (The one positive here, is that I am now absolutely sure that it wasn't something I did, to make this event happen.)

Why did this happen? Are our accounts not secure, and can other people adjust our settings without our knowing it?

If the gamesite isn't secure, then its more than a bug that needs to be gotten over. We also pay for the game via this site.
