depends on what you are airlifting, (or dropping,) and how many military transport planes you have in unit. recently i had 9500 military transport plains in 190 air transport units, airlifting 8 full bomber fighter wings, it took 8 hours for a double hop, (airlifted twice to get into place,) but usually a handfull of long range divisions will take about 30-45 minutes with 20 atu (1000 mta)

as far as airdropping, if you are dropping like 5ish SF, all you really need in one ATU, but 500 MTA in 10 ATU units would be optimal. and it'll take about an hour. although i've never actually timed it, an hour sounds about right.

May I suggest Scarlet's guide to conquering a C3 from the church of Simcountry website? It's a little outdated, but it should do the trick on a War Level 1 C3.

1000 fighters at least 160 - 200quality
700 bombers at least 160 quality
25K Offensive air to air missiles at 100 quality
However many precision bombs you may want to use.

Make an air force attack and bombing wing with the fighters and bombers

Add ammo

Then go to the war screen, find a 'county' or 'town' on the target list or visually

click on your attack wing

select all weapons to max for each kind

click 'attack defenses' until you see 'No weapon losses' for the enemy AND 'the weapons used in this attack were not effective'

By now you have destroyed all the interceptors.

Then click 'select target from a list'

Scroll to the bottom, select each target and to confirm it is an air defense wing a green cross hairs will highlight the little red air wings

destroy them all selecting each air wing one by one and using the bomber fighter wing again

select all weapons, and 'attack defenses' on each air wing.

You will end up destroying all the air interceptor 'units' (the actual planes are already destroyed, but this makes sure they won't replenish the air wing) and by the time you have cleared all the air wings you will notice that the helicopters have been destroyed too.

After destroying the helicopter units your ground forces won't get murdered trying to attack. Although you will still take ground unit losses.

IMPORTANT: IF the c3 is directly on your border. You need an offensive ground unit within 35 km to provide ground support to your air force. Obviously the closer the better. So under 10km is better. Move it as close as you can to the county or town you want to use the drain the interceptors *before* you ever attack.

If you click too close to the target, and your unit ends up on top of the town or county you want to use, just use the 'select target from a list' option and cycle through the targets until the green cross hairs highlight the target you want, then shoot away.

If the c3 is NOT on your border, you DO NOT need any ground support.

I hope that helps.

Yea thanks Physco...I was using my airforce but not as many as you said but my shit got slaughtered. I just airlifted a long range division and imma take care of em with it. But now i kno a big airforce is better than all this stuff. Its just when i attacked with the airforce they got did bad but i guess some casulaties is expected
