Monday, February 4, 2013 - 09:26 pm  The NLUO World Government has suffered greatly through this world war with the Hydra federation. We have had many defections from our federation as well as the government. We have sense had to concede to a ceasefire to the World War. Now Hydra has 2 members of the NLUO world government in their federation which exceptionally powerful positions. Here are the changes we are making as a government. 1.) The Fed Congress & the Common Market Congress will be where the power of the nations of LU will come from. The power will no longer come from the executive branch to the General Assembly. All 3 legislative branches of government will be for now on called the general Assembly. There will be a General Assembly at the beginning of every Secretary General's terms. There will also be 2 State of the NLUO live Chat Addresses per Secretary General's Term. 2.) The political parties will be scrapped. The federations of Little Upsilon will act as the political parties of the branches of government. 3. There will be a secretary of Intelligence installed to help with coordinating international intelligence, and spies, as well as NLUO World Government recruitment. 4. Change the name of the NLUO Federation, so that the NLUO world government will not be confused with the Federation. 5. Re-focus the secretary of State's agenda to spend time dealing with the GMs. The secretary of State's job will be used as a diplomatic position to the gms for nations who have issues with problems with the game. The Secretary of State will still act as a mediator between none aligned nations and new nations for eventual government acknowledgment, and integration. 6. Re-focus the fed congress to bring legislation up for issues with the war game, and issues that come about from the SC forum. Also the fed congress would be the place to go for changes with the government itself. Fed congress also passes legislation to change the constitution, add to the constitution, impeachments, presidential boycotts, and war resolutions. 7. The Common Market Congress would bring legislation for economic issues, and the econ game. Also you would bring issues with economic issues like market manipulation, and recessions. 8. The security Council passes resolutions as an independent Branch of government. 9. All Federation matters will be handled at the federation level until there is no recourse, and then the federation chairman or representative in the federation in the fed congress would go to the fed congress to pass a resolution on the matter. 10. Refocus the secretary of Justice position to exercise it's power to keep all government officials within the law, and political process. The needs of the government. 1.) Active participation, and a willingness to learn the political process the government is built on, and change the process as you learn to use it. 2.) A willingness to share economic, political, and military Assets. 3,) A secretary of defense who is able to coordinate federation cooperation in times of war. 4.) A Secretary of treasury who can coordinate common market cooperation as well as deal with the gms on economic issues. So, with these changes and re-enforcement of positions, we can get back on track. | Tuesday, February 5, 2013 - 07:54 pm It is not for domination. it is for international political, economic, and military cooperation beyond the federations. The federation acts as the political parties of the nations of LU, and all nations come together through 3 Legislative branches called the general Assembly to present and pass legislation that helps the game, and international politics. There are 2 other branches of government used as well. The Executive Administration carries out the legislation passed by the general assembly. There is an LU International Criminal Court to go to if any government official is abusing their power. If power is not checked, then the government can end up dictatorial, and we not even realize it. There needs to be a strong General Assembly, LU International Court, and a strong secretary of Justice. If this can be achieved, then this government can stay a democratic institution. The political parties pushed the agenda, and now the political parties have been scrapped, as I said earlier, the federations act as the political parties, and all issues will start at the federation level, and if needed, the world government is used to pass legislation.

This position is generally an elected position, but Stephen Ryan resigned the position, and when a nation resigns a position, the secretary General can nominate a successor during a state of Emergency. | Wednesday, February 6, 2013 - 11:18 pm King Lord Lee has resigned his position as the Secretary of treasury to take the Nomination for Secretary of State. King Lord Lee has been since nominated and confirmed as Secretary of State. Welcome the New foreign policy chief LU. Also Chiwoo has been nominated for Secretary of Intelligence. He has yet to accept the nomination, and can not be officially confirmed with accepting the nomination. Aries has also been nominated to replace King Lord Lee as Secretary of Treasury. Aries also must confirm the nomination before he too can be officially confirmed as Secretary of treasury. Once these Positions are filled, the executive Administration will be fully staffed. The LU International Court also needs a Judge. I have nominated President Shave for a position as a judge on the bench. There are 2 judges who went inactive. President Baconator has accepted the nomination for Associate Justice on the LUICC Bench. Once these positions are filled the LUICC will be fully staffed. All we need to work on from that point is filling up the Congresses. This is just an update on the matters of the NLUO.

| Wednesday, February 6, 2013 - 11:31 pm crafty, before this event, the only thing that any one had to talk about, was rule changes, and what ever wendy was doing. hez has changed that. and deserves some credit. not him or his side alone. it takes 2 to tango, as the saying goes. but i'm pretty confident, that with out hez, all we'd be doing is complaining about the game rules. thats not to say, that i support the gov, i don't, i disagree with it, but that doesn't mean i want to destroy it either. its time to give hez some credit, and let him do his thing. my complaint was really the tactics that he was using. if he backs off those, i'll have nothing to say. probably, anyways.

I will also keep a keen eye on those who wish for no good reason to threaten the organization. As an organization of Law and Order, a player of my own heart naturally, can never truly belong to such an organization. I am a rebellious spirit, therefore, I rebel.

He is the Secretary of State, which is the Speaker of the Federation Congress for executive oversight. He is also the Majority Leader of the Federation Congress being that he has 5 Federation Congressional Seats, which is the most out of any member in the Federation Congress at this point. He controls by himself the political process of the federation Congress, and has executive privilege. He also is a judge on the LU International Criminal Court., which all of this power combined makes him the most powerful member of the NLUO. He is also listed as the best player on LU, and the best CEO on LU. He is also a Security Council Member. Again Congratulations Secretary King Lord Lee!!!

| Thursday, February 7, 2013 - 11:40 pm I can't tell Secretary King Lord Lee what to do. He has the power to set up Security Council votes. The Security Council is a separate Branch of government, so I can't say anything about that. What you might want to do is contact President Carthaginian of Carthage because he is the Secretary of Security, and handles the executive oversight for the NLUO Security Council members. He can possibly influence Secretary Lord Lee to stop bringing Security Council resolutions against President Shave.

So, I said I will just change it to 12 Nation Alliance. hence the TNA. The reason why I am renaming the federation is to give the NLUO world government distinction from the Federation. People think the NLUO is just a fed, and it is not.

| Friday, February 8, 2013 - 09:40 pm i remember that war. I was in CIS, back in the first run of the NLUO. But i never took up arms against the NLUO. Even though Stuart was constantly trying to get his guys to dec the NLUO. The only thing i did, was a couple of sneak attacks when King Asia was nuking okstateguy. so remembering that, i'm confused as to why Hez would claim a fed name, or obviously similar name, to a fed that went to war against him. but then i don't have all those details. sounds like EO is on top of that. After the NLUO went away, their was a split/merge of CIS breaking up. The newer players joined SNA, the older players, (such as myself,) joined Valde.

| Sunday, February 10, 2013 - 12:21 am Re-posting the NLUO World Government roster of all branches of government. If you are listed on a roster, and you no longer want to be apart of the government, please post it on this thread. We are trying to fully staff the government with lasting players. We want to weed out inactives, and part time players. This government can eventually revolutionize the simcountry game, especially on LU. We will have one voice when dealing with the gms, and be able to have more leverage when asking for assistance from them. Also building up new players into full time players like us all, thus growing the LU community, and the Sim country galaxy as a whole. LU will be the lead world with all of the most active players, and all the other worlds are just proving grounds and for players who want an account on more than one planet. Hopefully the activity on LU will spread to other worlds, and we get to fill the galaxy, but that does not seem plausible. So, anyways, here are the rosters.
