With all this talk about joining The Alliance etc etc, it sounds as bad as which bank should you be with. So with that in mind, what benefits would the player get by joining The Alliance in comparison to joining Hydra etc, I doubt very much that they'd get any. Therefore I propose a new Federation to be created called The Numpties, well it seems appropiate with how the previous ones are being run by certain individuals, so let them all join that one instead.

The benefits are the sharing of defense for one! Second is that many players want an alternative to Hydra. Also The Alliance is independent from NLUO and I feel that The Alliance has some real potential for expansion!

Other Federations have the benefit of sharing of defence so thats not really a unique selling point, you say you're independent from NLUO but what measures have you got in placing for the prevention of spies infiltrating to try and steal secrets.... I refer for example to the Ian Cameron fiasco etc in the White Giant forum posts. I'm asking these questions not for myself but for any players who may be considering to join you - so they would need these issues answering to allow them to make up their mind.

Well Lee, I am all for more federations and more competition in the game. The problem with the former NLUO is it was overbearing and tried to impose its views on all of LU. You can't be like that and expect everyone to respect or like you. The NLUO had the potential to be something very wonderful, but due to less than reputable leadership, it failed. I loved Hezzy's creativity, but some of your members were some of the ugliest players I have seen in the game, based on what they said to other players, bullying and what not. That is what ruined you guys/gal. The bully machine will always lose, because good will always triumph over evil. Hydra is good. They help people time and time again.

i always thought the difference was sportsmanship. Hydra represents good sportsmanship. while the NLUO where lead by bad sportsmen. so i guess that'd be the same as jan.

Well jerryndaymare, that so called "evil" that the NLUO was.......didn't triumph... ha ha ha ha soooooooooooooo come again???? pull me another quote from a movie that wasn't a comedy lol oh wait.........the NLUO ended up being a simcountry comedy!!! Maybe it is appropriate. :P

I think as long as the Alliance doesn't repeat the same mistakes that NLUO did, it will do great. Just remember, people don't like people trying to force them to do anything. You've got to convince them that what you are suggesting to them is actually their ideal to began with. Use all the charisma that you can unleash.

Well there is only one flaw to the formation of The Alliance. There is no need for protection against HYDRA. They are never the instigators, but rather, the defenders. Sooooooooooooooo.....

I say HYDRA should stay as a friendly reminder to the members of The Alliance as to what they will unleash if they try to bully players again.
