Some simple stats. All numbers accurate as of 2/24/15.

If you have any complaints about these - I don't care. Make the stats yourself then. :)

That's quite interesting. I remember when someone ranked players weekly, and its nice to see someone use the graphs the game let's us use. Thanks for for putting this up for show.

Awesome!

I have no idea how much work these are but if it isn't to much work could you do these on a regular basis?

Out of curiosity,,, How did you get these numbers in the first place? And did you use a script to compute them?

<--account name from Derpa.

Take me 10-15 mins as I've done them a few times previously.

If you "show top 300 players" yada yada - there is an option on the top of the following screen titled "Downloads." I download country history sheet.

To make these, sort by president, and then add subtotals at each change in president. IMPORTANT next step. SAVE and close.

Come back and then you can filter to show highest numbers.

By saving and closing, your totals go to an actual number vs. value in X cell.

Thanks Derpa. Always interesting to see how the top empires compare. Waiting for the game to add its own additions such as my Player Power Rankings found here:

My empire is actually going through rapid growth right now. I bet I top $7 trillion in monthly production soon.

I really like this kind of thing. Which stats do you guys think would be nice to have tracked publicly?

Think along the lines of country, empire or CEO stats that you'd like to see made into leaderboards. Some examples:
- Total monthly profits of all countries in an empire
- Total population in an empire
- Total pop employed by CEO
- Wars won against players (empire or account wide)
- Wars lost against players?
- Standing army per empire
- Nuclear weapons fired
- Most presidential mustache

So far my thoughts are that this would have an opt-out for people who want to avoid unwanted attention. This is up for debate.

the more stats the better in my opinion ...especially the mustache stat :)

In my oppinion all of the above sounds good. Anything is better then the current rating system which is really really bad.

Just don't give people an 'opt-out'. That would be wrong.

From a gaming perspective: there are very few games that allow you to withdraw from the score boards. You need people to become more competitive in order to stimulate activity and score boards are 1 of the better ways to do that.

From a simulation perspective it would also be wrong. The real world has no opt outs either (unless your north korea but they are trying to opt out of the world...)

And from a technical standpoint it wouldn't be to complicated either. All the data is being collected anyway and presented in a nice excel sheet. Just enter a little formula and voila, all of the data is ranked and ready to go...

A more needed addition is player rankings with my suggestion found here:

https://www.simcountry.com/discus/messages/8/24236.html?1424071870

Further, I agree with Letsie. Why should anything I can find on wikipedia in the real world be a secret in Simcountry? There should be much more transparancy than there is.

For empire stats, what Derpa put together is a pretty good start. I would go:

-Empire pop
-Empire number of countries
-Empire production
-Empire income
-Empire profit

for CEO

-CEO employment
-CEO corps
-CEO profit
-CEO production
-CEO Quality

Thats all we can think of with out really thinking 'bout it

i'd be against an opt-out, at least for some things, like military, and basic econ stats

What would people benefit from by opting out of stats? A sudden rise in military? I feel like surprise attacks are sort of frowned upon, as war these days is rare, and usually an even fight.

I agree - no opting out. I have a few other stats I think would be interesting - such as federation stats, common market stats etc. The issue with those is it's hard to tell who is actually in what federation, as many of them are related and the same players.

Federations aren't AS telling as they used to be, but are still interesting stats for new players.

Periodic country stats are fun too. I can bump an old one I've seen/done if you'd like, such as highest transportation rate, highest etc. They're irrelevant but funny to look at from time to time.

Oke thanks for the suggestions guys, keep em coming.
We'll take your thoughts on opt-outs into consideration, seems like nobody feels a need for it.

@Aries: I've also taken a look in your previous thread. Thanks!

@Casual Industries: Please do bump the thread you are referring to.
