Is someone manipulating the market for Offensive Weapon Maintenance or is GM doing it. It goes through cycles of huge shortages, then suddenly in one month a massive surplus appears and tanks the price for several game years, then the massive surplus disappears and the prices start to rise back to sustainable levels. During these cycles there is no change in production capacity. My question is who is responsible for this? Is it a player that hordes supplies and then dumps them when prices peak, or is the GM injecting product into the market to try and fix the shortage?

It's the consumers of a product that are causing the fluxuations.

Less active offensive weapons = less demand.

I think that some are buying large quantities from time to time and are manipulating the market.

It is not a huge market and it is possible for one or two players to cause a shortage.

It's not the shortages that I question. It's the massive sudden influxes of surpluses. Either someone is hoarding product and dumping them all at once when product peaks, or the game is magically creating product in the market when the shortage gets too severe. Andy can you confirm that the game does not create product out of thin air?
