Johnanas Bilderburg,

What are you talking about? I live on LU, and generally watch the markets (but not every product, and all the time). The market doesn't seem to be too out of the ordinary at the moment? The products that have occasional extreme shortages are acting up, (space shuttles, solid missile fuel, strategic airports), but that is more to do with the volatility of demand overwhelming the system's ability to change rapidly. Some products are oversupplied, but again, nothing too out of the ordinary.

If you were talking about the mini crash in the Oil market, I think that was because of C3's having to close a lot of Electric Power Corps, when their population was reduced. However, I don't have enough data to be sure.

Just look at the electronic components. There has been some serious manipulating going on in it.

DARPA ZXY11,

Here on LU, there are over 50,000,000 ammo quality upgrades sitting on the market unsold. I guess it's a good time to be upgrading ammo, haha.

The remains of Aries empire disappeared today. That is the cause of the dump.

I don't mind oversupply, it's unrealistic for most products to be in severe shortage for years on end. What does annoy me though, is when the oversupply is fake, from a product dump. Even though underlying production is still in severe shortage.

Personally, I think the game needs more production, to help bring proper balance to the markets. And some anti-dumping protections, so that oversupply is the result of actual overproduction, instead of just market manipulation.

At the moment, we have a situation where the overall market is in permanent shortage. Because it is impossible for players to produce enough goods to make up for consumption. Then the GM market defence system has to make products out of thin air, so the shortages don't cause total collapse. Many products only ever leave shortage due to market manipulation.

A real market moves between surplus and shortage as production and demand change, because they are roughly balanced. In Simcountry, there is far to much demand, but far to little production, with market manipulators just making it seem like we are moving back and forth.

Look at light tank shells and light arti shells. Supply dropped by a huge amount and demand increased several times, all in just a few days.
