Seems to be a pretty popular film (it is very well done, narratively speaking. Poor quality, but still gets to your emotions.)

Now, I, for one, believe 90% of this film to be total crap, mostly for the lack of ANY outside sources, other than the talking heads on Fox news, which noone believes a damn word that is ever spoken on Fox, anyway.

I know of one thing that the narrator tried to portray as fact was the part about comparing Jesus to Joseph. He said Joseph was born of a virgin!?! Where the HELL did THAT come from, I wonder?

And so what is Joseph had 12 brothers? My Grandfather had 12 brother. I have 12 cousins, who are all brothers.

And Horus was just an Egyptian Sun God who battled Seht, for control over the 24-hour period, between night and day. Horus was NOT born of a virgin, either, according to ancient Egyptian mythology. Horus was never killed and rose from the dead after 3 days either.

So, from the introduction alone, I became extremely critical of the whole damn thing.

I think, the way the end sounded, the guy is very spiritual himself...almost kind of a Buddhist. While he attacks organized religion (I am no big fan of organized religion myself...but I AM a Christian), he adheres to the teachings of Buddhism and Christianity. Mostly to love one another.

THAT is what Christianity IS...Following the teachings of Christ, and his teachings...all of them...amounted to one thing, and one thing only: "To love one another." That is the "New Commandment."

The "Christianity" HE was talking about was mostly Catholocism. Nothing bothers me more than when people try to lump all Christians under Catholocism, when that is so far from the truth. CATHOLICS tortured and burned people throughout the centuries, NOT Christians! People need to get that through their thick skulls! The only way people can come to realize what TRUE Christianity is, is by READING THE FRICKIN BIBLE ONCE!

Nowhere does it say that we are to rape, and kill, and burn people if they do not listen to us. We are not to punish ANYONE in this lifetime. The job of Christians is merely to spread the Good News about Jesus dieing for our sins, so we can make it to Heaven. Anything else are all lies.

Just wanted to get that first part cleared out of the way, before I make other responses to the rest of the film, after I see what others think.

(BTW, most of the rest of the film, I thought, was crap, lacking any sort of credible sources...Like I said, Fox News is HARDLY a credible source...)

They are both 2 of the most informative films ever produced.

With all of the information your mind is trained to take on "faith" there are tons of facts to line up against myths you believe in for no other reason than 'good faith'.

The 9-11 segment is particularly interesting, because based on factual evidence available without direct crime scene investigation, a more compelling case can be made for 9-11 being an inside job than can be made against it. This should be of particular interest in America...

I recommend watching regardless of what you believe. I think this film being suppressed or not watched could be a huge intellectual tragedy given how many people take everything, especially religion at face value.
