The Jews of the bible is a nationality.

When the Israelites inhabited the land of Cannan, they split up into 2 kingdoms. The tribes of Benjamin and Judah called themselves Judah, and the other 10 tribes called themselves Israel.

The 10 tribes got kicked out the land by God in 700 BC, and then Judah was kicked out in 70AD

The Jews over there now are the Jews of Judaism, not the Jews of the Bible like they claim.

They are actually the Idumaeans, They took over Jerusalem after the Jews of the bible were kicked out of the land. Then the Romans kicked the Idumaeans out of the land. The Idumaeans also called themselves Jews, but they are not the Jews of the Bible.

The Jews are a religious nation within nations.
The Zionists are a religious nation of a nation.

Israel, is the promise land given to the Hebrews by God. Unfortunately they rejected God and his plans for them, and latter Jesus Christ. (God in the Trinity). History shows the price they paid.
According to scripture God made a promise to Abraham and his DESCENDANTS that He would give to him the land of Israel for their prosperity. This promise was first made in Genesis 15: 18-21 which reads.

On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram and said, To your descendants I give this land.from the Wadi of Egypt to the great river,the Euphrates- the land of the Kenites,Kenizzites,Kadmonites,Hitties, Perizzites,Rephaites,Amorites,Canaanites,Girgashites and Jebusites.

Later God confirmed to Abraham's son Isaac and Isaac's son Jacob.

Stay in this land for a while, and I will be with you and will bless you. For to you and your descendants I will give all these lands and will confirm the oath I swore to your fathe
