first item is Anti Aircraft Missile Batteries
which has 150 default
it says i can use 88 that are not deployed
I have 400 in stock
How necessary are these, since i just want to invade C3s right now, and I use my fighters to take out the defenses before employing ground units? Why won't it let me use what I have in stock?

I am also having this problem. It says I have 1400 light tanks active, but when I try to create a groung defence force it tells me I only have 340.
I dont have this problem with the offencive forces though.
I have no garrisons deployed, no forces deployed and it's doing my head in. I'm glad it's not just me.
I'll post a note on the problem bit.

Your limited to using your Offensive forces only for attacking, hence the self explanatory name offensive.

C3s don't attack you when your fighting them, they only defend when you attack one of their targets. See guides to taking C3's in these forums.

Angus88, so your saying you don't have a problem with defensive deployment?

No...Angus reads the documentation. As you should.

For C3's you only really need a few special forces, drop them in the country and paint it orange. All of it. Then take out the air defense in the usual fashion. Use one real LRD with plenty of ammo. Move it close to the capital. Use attack drones and kill the capital defenses then attack target with the LRD. Move the LRD to the closest city and repeat the procedure. If you have every bit you can reach painted orange the WI will drop very quickly. You may have to hit several cities and the capital to win the country.

2600 artillery
1000 tanks
1,000,000 tank ammo
2,000,000 artillery ammo

4000 attack drones
100000 attack drone ammo
500 fighters
25000 ammo

5 special forces ( When creating set the gas much higher than the default. Each SF unit needs at least 20 fuel trucks)

5 air wings (100 planes)

But how do you get the air transport wings back after they drop the SF? I have some still stationed in a country I took a month ago.

Sam. Whats the documentation got to do with: It says I have 1400 light tanks active, but when I try to create a groung defence force it tells me I only have 340.
I dont have this problem with the offencive forces though.
I have no garrisons deployed, no forces deployed?

Why are you making defensive units?

All they can do is defend not attack, garrisons are the easiest way to deploy them.

To return the special forces and their air wings pull up the list of the special forces, find the unit in question, and click on return it to nearest base.

88. Because I want too. It's not me thats attacking. I just seem to be having the same problem, but with my defense units.
It says I have 1400 light tanks active, but when I try to create a groung defence force it tells me I only have 340.
What am I missing?

Sam,

I recalled the SF and even disbanded them thinking that their was a relationship between the SF and the air transport, but the air transport has remained "stationed."

Post the unit name and country here and also send a message to the Gamemaster. Its a glitch.

Same problem. I've taken to considering air transport units as disposable. For example, nice day took Aussie land1997, yesterday. SF were used. I brought them back to nice day and dismantled them. Then, for no good reason, the air transport units went back to the conquered country, Aussie land1997, and are stationed there, though I did not build a depot or offensive airport there. Unit "Bigetown" and others, they all did the same thing. "Dismantle" is not a clickable option, and if you use the check box you get the error message "1 unit not dismantled while still stationed abroad".

I am now building a remote depot as per suggestion in another thread, but even if it works that should not be necessary.
